Agree.

I was in the Navy in the 70s and pretty much the only people who got tattoos back then were sailors. It was the cool thing to do.

Right after boot camp while I was in one of my first Navy schools, one of the instructors, an old salty Chief PO, said:

"Listen, you dumb assess, it's payday today and the start of the weekend. Some of you are going to go down and get an ugly tattoo right away. Don't. Do you want to spend the rest of your life looking like a goddamned sailor?"

As he aid this, he rolled up the sleeves of shirt showing his arms covered in dragons-licking-naked-women tattoos.

Point made with me. I never got one.

Years later I was stunned when women starred getting them.

Tats on a woman a big no no with me.
