Biden has been visiting the territory over the holidays for years now. His brother owns property on Water Island, the small island just south of St. Thomas’ Crown Bay.

The Bidens vacationed on Water Island in 2008, 2009 and 2010.

They visited St. Croix in 2011, 2012, 2013, 2015, 2016, 2018 and now 2019 that the Virgin Islands Free Press knows of.

This is a very poor under served island..they count on tourism to keep them a float.

Wasn't talking about those who are rich and visit..was speaking of the actual residents. Have been on the island..it was so bad with what we were seeing these people were living in disrepair of homes that wouldn't even come close to qualifying as homes here. Had been there not long after a hurricane which looked like it had been quite devastating. They are always having to basically start over. The way their plumbing is set up is like nothing I have ever seen before..drinking water was delivered to their home from pvc that was piped into drainage ditches which proceeded directly to their homes. Electricity is a whole other issue, none of it would pass code in any country. The native people who live there are incredibly poor despite all the elite flocking there to purchase land and build their vacation mansions. They don't associate with anyone on the island other than for what services they need done such as repairs, yard work or maid services. Our tax dollars went to these places to help them put their lives back together and based on what I saw in the Virgin Islands..the money that was donated was obviously not put into any infrastructure of any kind. Much less help these people rebuild their homes.
