Need to consider two possibilities:
-
Bannon is, as said, not our guy
-
Bannon is our guy, and is falling on the arrest sword as an optics move
Have listened to too many hours of Charles Ortel to not know that scores of others aren't guilty of tax/wire/mail/charity frauds for somehow Bannon to miraculously be singled out for those charges but not all the others.
Bannon owns an impressive historic home in DC, filled with antiques. Never heard anything salacious about his private lufe, although he does have a grown child or two from a previous marriage. (Speaking of which, has anyone ever heard his ex-wife's name?) Not buying the notion that he couldn't buy his own plane tickets.
Am going to wait and see.
