Yeah.. I can't say they had the propaganda at full force in my day, but they did have certain slogans and such that probably had that element to it. All we ever did was laugh at it. And I remember my music teacher in elementary always trying to sing Woody Guthrie songs. We thought it sucked.
Russians are trying to build a Eurasian alliance, if anything (and always have been, whether it be now, Bolshevik days, or Czarist days). Which is fine by me, since I'm half Asian and European myself.
