What IS the white rabbit a symbol for? Trafficking kids (v) / Trafficked kids (n) / The Traffickers?

Ive seen it numerous times over the last 3 years and in some pretty odd places

Last pic is Seth Green (accused pedo) with white rabbit sweater on in the movie Enemy of the State, which also features a 9/11 DOB on identification card later in the movie.

Have I missed the deeper meaning in the Lewis Carroll novel? (have not read yet)
