Pittsburgh Democrat Mayor Bill Peduto Says Protest Outside His House ‘Crosses a Line’

Another Hypocrite Mayor…Protestors say they blame the mayor for the arrest of 25-year-old Matthew Cartier, who was arrested on Saturday.
CBS Pittsburgh reports: FOP President Robert Swartzwelder is predicting massive retirements of police in October when 268 officers become eligible, citing comments by Mayor Peduto and District Attorney Stephen Zappala over the police handling of the protests.
“They’re pinching the police in the middle and police officers feel that no matter what they do they’re going to be criticized by the two highest public, which is going to change public opinion and force negative ramifications on the the police officers and some police officers are going to say ‘ok you don’t want us, we’ll go and do something else,’” he said.
The mayor was not home last night when protesters beat on drums, blew in horns and chanted disdain, and he as not in his office today. But in a statement, he said while he supports free speech, he indicated arrests will be warranted if actions like this happen again.

Law Professor: States Have Authority To Fine Or Jail Coronavirus Vaccine Refusers

he government could impose fines or jail time on citizens who refuse to “roll up their sleeves” and submit to a coronavirus vaccine, according to Dov Fox, a professor of law and director at USD’s Center for Health Law Policy and Bioethics.
On top of that, vaccine refusers may even lose their jobs or be banned from entering stores, according to Fox.
“States can compel vaccinations in more or less intrusive ways,” he said in an interview with ABC15 Arizona. “They can limit access to schools or services or jobs if people don’t get vaccinated. They could force them to pay a fine or even lock them up in jail.”
According to Fox, this would be an unprecedented move in the United States as authorities have never attempted to jail people for refusing to vaccinate. Other countries, like France, are adopting a more aggressive tactic to address the pandemic.
America may soon follow suit. Certain exemptions, such as pregnancy and medical risks, may be allowed, but ones based on religious or philosophical grounds could be thrown to the curb.
“Religious exemptions are not constitutionally required by the First Amendment’s Free Exercise clause, provided that the vaccine mandates don’t single out religion; they’re not motivated by a desire to interfere with it,” Fox said.
The professor also mentioned how employers would have “a lot of flexibility to require vaccinations and fire workers who refuse them for anything but legitimate medical concerns”:

A viral video features a little girl ripping off her face mask in disgust, a sentiment likely shared by many Americans amid the COVID-19 mandates.
In the short, but powerful video, the girl no older than 3-years-old removes her mask with an angry expression on her face, before furiously tossing it on the grass.
The toddler’s reaction is illustrative of how humans of any age instinctively know face masks are bogus.
