Victoria, Australia is a great example of what the freedom memes were saying. Under the guise of safety, our liberty was slowly nibbled away. Now we don't know when we will get it back.

Daily new coronavirus cases are now much lower than when "stage 4 restrictions" were imposed. There are mentions for excuses to not lift them - less people volunteering for testing, cases of unknown origin.

Our government keeps going on about new cases where the source of the transmission is not known. However, nobody talks about potential false positives. The media is not asking questions about false positives - like it's heresy. A statistics textbook will tell you about false positives and false negatives. The "test" is not an oracle.

I hope that we will learn our lesson: freedom is slowly nibbled away and then it's gone. This is one of the lessons that we must all learn.
