Just a glance at the morning paper helps me see how we are moving "backwards" only forwards at the same time. Case in point that I just saw: Paper towels. When I was living just a hair above poverty I had to give up paper towels. Got to the point that when I saw a charity campaign suggesting people donate paper towels I thought it was utterly ridiculous. Like giving caviar to the starving.

Think of all the money and environmental damage saved by not using paper towels.

Wow. Who is going to be crying about not using paper towels?!

Pro tip: If you are out of Tide using a VERY SMALL amount of dish liquid in a washer can be a substitute though it won't do the job of a powerful (and toxic chemical laden) laundry detergent.

You can buy cloth table napkins at next to nothing. I found my latest batch at a thrift store in a nearby town. No paper napkins needed, either.
