To get one claim out of hand, Dr. Anthony Fauci has been the Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID). The immunologist and physician has never been the CEO of the Moderna company. Fauci has been a part of the NIAID since 1984, whereas Moderna was founded in 2010. Fauci has graduated from the Cornell University Medical College back in 1966, thus having no educational connection with Bill Gates, who attended the Harvard College before dropping out in the mid-1970s. Before attending Cornell University, Fauci studied at the College of Holy Cross in Massachusetts, a college having no connection with Bill Gates either.

A Facebook post claims that the vaccine developer Moderna is connected to Dr. Anthony Fauci, Bill Gates, George Soros and Jeffrey Epstein. But none of the supposed connections are founded. We rate this Pants on Fire.
Former Army Special Forces Officer Charged in Russian Espionage Conspiracy
Former Green Beret Allegedly Conspired to Provide National Defense Information to Russian Intelligence
A Gainesville, Virginia, man was arrested today for conspiring with Russian intelligence operatives to provide them with United States national defense information.
According to court documents, from December 1996 to January 2011, Peter Rafael Dzibinski Debbins, 45, a former member of the U.S. Army, allegedly conspired with agents of a Russian intelligence service. During that time, Debbins periodically visited Russia and met with Russian intelligence agents. In 1997, Debbins was assigned a code name by Russian intelligence agents and signed a statement attesting that he wanted to serve Russia.
“Two espionage arrests in the past week — Ma in Hawaii and now Debbins in Virginia — demonstrate that we must remain vigilant against espionage from our two most malicious adversaries — Russia and China,” said John C. Demers, Assistant Attorney General for National Security. “Debbins violated his oath as a U.S. Army officer, betrayed the Special Forces and endangered our country’s national security by revealing classified information to Russian intelligence officers, providing details of his unit, and identifying Special Forces team members for Russian intelligence to try to recruit as a spy. Our country put its highest trust in this defendant, and he took that trust and weaponized it against the United States.”
“Our military is tasked with the awesome responsibility of protecting our nation from its adversaries, and its service members make incredible sacrifices in service of that duty,” said G. Zachary Terwilliger, U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia. “When service members collude to provide classified information to our foreign adversaries, they betray the oaths they swore to their country and their fellow service members. As this indictment reflects, we will be steadfast and dogged in holding such individuals accountable.”
"The facts alleged in this case are a shocking betrayal by a former Army officer of his fellow soldiers and his country," said Alan E. Kohler, Jr., FBI Assistant Director of the Counterintelligence Division. "Debbins is accused of giving Russian intelligence officers sensitive information about the units in which he once served and also providing the names of other service members so Russia could try to recruit them. These actions cannot stand and the FBI will aggressively pursue such cases."
“According to the allegations, Mr. Debbins knowingly provided information to self-proclaimed members of Russia's Intelligence Service, the GRU,” said James A. Dawson, Acting Assistant Director in Charge of the FBI Washington Field Office. “As a member of the U.S. Armed Forces, the American people and his fellow service men and women should have been able to trust Debbins with secrets and information. Debbins allegedly fell very short of that and exploited his role in the military and his fellow service members to benefit one of our top adversaries for years. Today’s charges are another example of the dedicated and unrelenting efforts of the FBI and our partners, domestic and international, to aggressively pursue and bring to justice those who violate this sacred trust and place our national security at risk.”
Over the course of the conspiracy, Debbins allegedly provided the Russian intelligence agents with information that he obtained as a member of the U.S. Army, including information about his chemical and Special Forces units. In 2008, after leaving active duty service, Debbins disclosed to the Russian intelligence agents classified information about his previous activities while deployed with the Special Forces. Debbins also provided the Russian intelligence agents with the names of, and information about, his former Special Forces team members so that the agents could evaluate whether to approach the team members to see if they would cooperate with the Russian intelligence service.
Debbins is charged with conspiring to provide United States national defense information to agents of a foreign government. If convicted, Debbins faces a maximum penalty of life in prison. Actual sentences for federal crimes are typically less than the maximum penalties. A federal district court judge will determine any sentence after taking into account the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other statutory factors.
John C. Demers, Assistant Attorney General for National Security; G. Zachary Terwilliger, U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia; James A. Dawson, Acting Assistant Director of FBI Washington Field Office made the announcement. Assistant U.S. Attorneys Thomas W. Traxler and James L. Trump, and Trial Attorney David Aaron of the National Security Division’s Counterintelligence and Export Control Section are prosecuting the case.

De Blasio moves homeless men into boutique Brooklyn hotel rooms
Dozens of homeless men were moved into a Downtown Brooklyn boutique hotel Friday — just days after Mayor Bill de Blasio said he’s looking to end the city’s emergency coronavirus shelter program.
During four different times Friday afternoon, The Post observed four yellow buses drop off more than 40 vagrants with their belongings in trash bags at the Hotel Indigo on Duffield Street, where a sign on the front door read that it “cannot accommodate reservations” for guests and redirected those with reservations to a nearby Sheraton hotel.
An NYPD cop on site confirmed to The Post that there were no homeless residents living at the hotel between Fulton and Willoughby streets and city sources said it is being converted into a men’s shelter.
A worker from the Bowery Residents Committee, a nonprofit that assists the homeless, was seen moving boxes with computers and other supplies into the lodging, while another was spotted hauling in materials to set up metal detectors.
Locals griped over the new development, especially after they say another hotel, Aloft — located just steps away from Hotel Indigo — opened as a temporary city homeless shelter three weeks ago.
“I’m no one to say where these people have to go. The only problem I have is that they’re very dirty,” said Belen Lopez, 34, a graphic designer who lives in a nearby luxury building.
“I used to take my [2-year-old] daughter to the park here … now it’s dirty. They drink and they smoke. You can always smell the smoke every time I come out,” said Lopez.
The mom called the area, where residential rents hover between $4,000-$5,000 for a two-bedroom, “a disaster,” and explained, “We can’t go there anymore.”
“There is alcohol. There are little bottles of booze on the grass,” she said, adding that she’s “concerned” about the wellbeing of her daughter.
“We don’t feel safe anymore,” said Lopez.
Angel Serate, 42, who lives directly across the street from Hotel Indigo, said he felt helpless about the situation.
“There is nothing I can do. It’s what the city wants. I just hope that everybody will be respectful and keep the peace,” said Serate, who claimed that the homeless tenants already residing on the block “make garbage” and loiter.
A resident at the nearby upscale Avalon Willoughby Square building said the area has “become a little bit more run down” since the homeless were moved in.
“It’s a tough situation, but the concentration [of homeless people] seems to be skyrocketing,” said the 33-year-old man. “We’ve had three to four shootings in the last few weeks. A lot more people are huddling around at night.”
Another local railed, “It’s terrible. There is trash all over the place.”
“This used to be a beautiful block — now it’s completely changed. It’s quite disturbing,” the neighbor said.
Brothers, what we do in life echoes in eternity.

Mourner from Robert Trump's funeral 'punches restaurant worker in the face and breaks his nose' after the server said their party was too big to accommodate due to COVID-19
A mourner from Robert Trump's funeral has allegedly punched a restaurant worker in the face telling them 'you don't know how to speak to people' because the server told them they couldn't fit their large party in the restaurant due to COVID-19 rules.
The unidentified attacker assaulted a server at Fig & Olive restaurant in Washington DC Friday night leaving him with a suspected broken nose, just hours after Donald Trump held a funeral service at the White House for his younger brother, according to reports from NBC.

Optical Fibre Capacity Optimisation via Continuous Bandwidth Amplification and Geometric Shaping
The maximum data throughput in a single mode optical fibre is a function of both the signal bandwidth and the wavelength-dependent signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). In this paper, we investigate the use of hybrid discrete Raman & rare-earth doped fibre amplifiers to enable wide-band signal gain, without spectral gaps between amplification bands. We describe the widest continuous coherent transmission bandwidth experimentally demonstrated to date of 16.83 THz, achieved by simultaneously using the S-, C- and L-bands. The variation of fibre parameters over this bandwidth, together with the hybrid amplification method result in a significant SNR wavelength-dependence. To cope with this, the signal was optimised for each SNR, wavelength and transmission band. By using a system-tailored set of geometrically shaped constellations, we demonstrate the transmission of 660 ×25 GBd channels over 40 km, resulting in a record single mode fibre net throughput of 178.08 Tbit/s.
