He was a field commissioned field artillery officer of the 977th Field Artillery Battalion. He was awarded five bronze medals, 2 (?) bronze arrowheads, 1 Silver Star, 1 Purple Heart. He went through all 7 major battle campaigns of the European Theater of WWII. He was on the LST 282 when it was bombed. He stood on the decks of that burning ship pulling men and bodies off in to the water so that they would have a better chance to survive or the families would have a body to bury. He landed on Normandy D-Day. He taught us freedom is not free. Most of all he taught us to love God, love our country and treat people right. He's a patriot that was taken way too soon and he is missed very much because there are not many men of that caliber. He would back Pres. Trump in a heart beat and I know he would not like what is and was being done to Gen. Flynn.
