If you look at his close connections to the royals and intimacy in the politics and funding, this all makes sense. He is UNLIKE Musk, in that he is right at the very top of British power society, not just a rich visionary playboy.

Trafficking between Neckar and Little St. James is going between two completely different jurisdictions. This is hugely significant, as it would serve to thwart any sort of investigation, giving [them] additional time to cover tracks.
