Yes, each awakened individual has specific "programs" tailored to them by the Matrix. Because they resist its influence, they have to work to keep him "inside" by more intelligent programs than the standard fare media brainwash. All of those programs work by creating scenarios that divert conscious choices into producing something negative (eg. impulse to respond to an event with hate instead of "zooming out", seeing the big picture and deciding the best course of action). This is because nobody can interfere with the free will, so they work very hard to manipulate it with much success.
