The ETs aren't necessarily good and bad, it's like comparing apple to nokia, one is modern and reliable technology, the other is Apple.

They want a grand reset so we can start over and birth another AI in 1000 years. The deciding factor was that we didn't provide affordable data plans for our phones and we always lose signal, 5g was a punishment because it's short range and they want us being poor by convening at Starbucks for signal.
