Graham says declassified FBI documents show 'double standard' for Clinton and Trump campaigns

Graham said the FBI sought to give the Clinton campaign a defensive briefing before it could pursue a FISA warrant

Following the release of recently declassified documents, Senate Judiciary Chairman Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., says he believes the FBI showed a double standard in its investigations into reports of foreign interference at the campaigns of Hillary Clinton and now-President Trump in the lead-up to the 2016 presidential election.

Calling it “the ultimate double standard,” Graham said that the documents reveal that leaders at the FBI sought to give the Clinton campaign a defensive briefing before it could pursue a FISA warrant related to a threat posed to the campaign by a foreign government.

But instead of doing the same for the Trump campaign, the FBI opened the Crossfire Hurricane operation and pursued a number of FISA warrants against people working with Trump’s campaign.

While Graham would not reveal which foreign government wanted to assist Clinton in getting elected, he said on Fox News’ “Sunday Morning Futures” that FBI leadership shot down a request for a FISA warrant until Clinton was briefed on the matter.

“They never did to Trump,” Graham said. “As a matter of fact, not only did they not tell Trump, they used a generic briefing to spy on Trump.”

Crossfire Hurricane was the code name of the FBI counterintelligence investigation into links between Trump associates like George Papadopoulos, Michael Flynn and Carter Page and Russian officials and whether they worked “wittingly or unwittingly, with the Russian government's efforts to interfere in the 2016 U.S. presidential election.”

“The FBI did the right thing by briefing Clinton and failed to do the right thing by never specifically briefing President Trump about their concerns,” Graham said in a statement released earlier on Sunday.

Earlier this month, Senate Homeland Security Committee Chairman Ron Johnson, R-Wis., issued a subpoenaed to the FBI and Director Christopher Wray as part of its broad review into the origins of the Russia investigation.

The subpoena, obtained by Fox News, demands that he produce "all records related to the Crossfire Hurricane investigation."

"This includes, but is not limited to, all records provided or made available to the Inspector General of the U.S. Department of Justice for its review," the subpoena states, referring to DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz's review of abuses related to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA).

Woke Capitalism: How Huge Corporations Demonstrate Status by Endorsing Political Radicalism

It’s a rather strange claim of the American far left that their interests are opposed to that of corporate America, because there’s virtually no evidence to support it. Quite the contrary: During the wave of Black Lives Matter rioting that took place during the early summer of 2020, American corporations marched in lockstep. Not only did they use social media to swear fealty to this political movement, but they also made massive internal changes in conformity with BLM propaganda.

It’s called “woke capitalism” and while it’s not necessarily new, it’s certainly more prevalent than it ever has been. The term itself was coined by conservative editorial writer Ross Douthat in 2018. He succinctly summed up what woke capitalism is: superficial nods toward cultural leftism that allow the company to do what it really exists to do – make money.

You might be confused or think that there’s something ironic or askew about major corporations backing supposed “rebel” ideologies. However, this stems from a very surface understanding of the topic. When we delve deeper into it, the motivation for large corporations siding with ostensibly “anti-capitalist” groups will come clearly into focus.

Before going any further, we should spend some time defining what “wokeness” means.

Wokeness is a kind of shorthand for an area of the American political left that is obsessed with identity politics. This is, as the name would imply, the politics of identity. Thus, people are not rational actors, nor are they necessarily economic units. Rather, they are little more than a collection (or, in the parlance of this ideology, the intersections) of skin color and séxuality.

Socioeconomic class might enter into this, but if it does, it’s generally as an afterthought. While Marxism might play some influential role, the wokeists are far more likely to locate the revolutionary subject in, for example, trans-identified black men than it is the working class.

One can understand the hostility of the “woke” to the Bernie Sanders campaign in this context: it is much more revolutionary under the guidelines established by wokeism, to put more racial minorities with unusual séxual identities on the board of Lockheed-Martin and Goldman-Sachs than it is to provide for greater economic equality on behalf of their workers.

The bedrock of wokeness is not classical Marxist socialism, but something called “critical theory” and in particular its variant “critical race theory.” This has its roots in the Frankfurt School and an early 20th-century Italian philosopher and politician named Antonio Gramsci. Gramsci’s big idea was that cultural power preceded political power. Thus, to have a Marxist political revolution, one first needed a Marxist cultural revolution. This was to be accomplished by a “long march through the institutions.” What this means is that leftists were to infiltrate every institution of significance and gain power within them.

We can see the result of this idea today. While American leftists bear little, if any, resemblance to Marxists of old, they have penetrated our institutions and dominate culturally – in academia, in entertainment and increasingly in the economic sphere as well. If one were to read the Communist Manifesto, there are a series of demands at the end, most of which have come to fruition such as universal public education, a progressive income tax, a national bank, and the industrialization of agriculture.

Mali Coup Leader a US-Trained Military Officer

In another embarrassment for US training programs for international forces, this week’s coup in Mali found itself linked to the program. Col. Golta, the new dictator of Mali, graduated from US training courses.

That’s a problem for the US,. and photos of Golta were featured heavily on US military sites regarding the training operations, The military has so far avoided comment on the matter, though some media are reporting that the photographs were disappearing from the sites when the news started to break.

It looks bad, but also isn’t shocking. Mali’s last coup, in 2012, saw the exact same thing, with Captain Amadou Sanogo having been through six training missions with the US before the coup.

At Least 13 Killed In Peru Nightclub Stampede Triggered By Police “Social Distancing” Raid

In an example of COVID-19-related law enforcement gone horribly awry, 13 people were killed in a deadly stampede, as patrons tried to flee a surprise police raid on a crowded Lima, Peru nightclub on Saturday night.

At least 6 people were seriously injured, including 3 cops.

Orlando Velasco Mujica, general of the Peruvian National Police Police, told CNN that police were summoned to the Thomas Restobar in the Los Olivos district of Lima, Peru’s capital city, on Saturday evening. They were ordered to shut down an illegal party, where officials believed more than 120 people were in attendance.

Peru is struggling with one of Latin America’s deadliest and most devastating outbreaks. Strict social distancing measures have been mandated nationwide, along with a 10 pm curfew in an effort to slow the virus’s spread.

Despite taking strict preventative measures early on, Peru has racked up more than 576,000 cases, and more than 27,000 deaths, according to JHU. The country has Latin America’s second-highest infection rate.

Pompeo to visit Sudan, push for ‘deepening’ its ties with Israel

US secretary of state to also travel to Israel, Bahrain and UAE, as Trump administration seeks to capitalize on normalization deal between Jerusalem and Abu Dhabi

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo will discuss ties between Israel and Sudan when he meets with Sudanese leaders during his trip to the Middle East this week, the State Department said Sunday.

Pompeo is set to visit Israel, Sudan, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates this week as the Trump administration seeks to capitalize on momentum from the historic agreement between Israel and the UAE to establish diplomatic relations.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said late Sunday that he would be hosting Pompeo on Monday, and was confident other countries would soon follow the UAE’s lead and make peace with Israel. His long term “peace for peace… peace from strength” doctrine, he said, was starting to “bear fruit.”

“In Sudan, the secretary will meet with Prime Minister Abdalla Hamdok and Sovereign Council Chair General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan to discuss continued US support for the civilian-led transitional government, and express support for deepening the Sudan-Israel relationship,” a State Department statement said.

Sources with knowledge of the Cohen-Dagalo meeting told the Qatari news outlet Al-Araby Al-Jadeed that Sudan’s military council is interested in improving ties with Israel.

Turkish President Erdogan has sought to create an image for himself as the champion of religion. The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) also tried to claim they were following a religion, yet both to used water as a weapon of war.

Water in Islam

Turkey is almost 100% Muslim and has made world headlines converting Christian cathedrals into Mosques. Turkish President Erdogan has been converting a secular democracy in Turkey, founded by Ataturk, into a Muslim Brotherhood haven, which follows Radical Islam as a political ideology, which is the same ideology as ISIS.

Water in Islam is considered as a gift from God, belonging to all equally, which has to be distributed equally among all living beings, humans, animals, and plant life, according to Cherif Abderrahman Jah, an Islamic academic and humanist.

ISIS used water as a weapon of war

The ISIS terrorists have often used water as a weapon of war in Iraq and Syria by cutting off supplies to villages that resisted their rule and as a tool to expand their control over the region’s water infrastructure.

They wanted to seize the water to prove they were building an actual state. In 2014 ISIS besieged the Syrian town of Kobane to secure a piece of the border with Turkey.

6 years later, 2020, the same scenario plays out, and in the same area, but ISIS has been defeated, and the Erdogan regime in Turkey has taken their place. Many experts feel ISIS and Turkey have been connected in their use of Radical Islam as a political tool, devoid of any connection to Islam, which is a religion.

ISIS was using water as a weapon, according to Tobias von Lossow of Berlin’s Institute for International and Security Affairs. He said, “IS uses water systematically and consistently. IS uses the entire range of possibilities and variations of water warfare.”

A person can survive without water for about 3 days; however, a person living in a very hot climate will sweat, causing them to lose more water, which leads to dehydration, causing extreme thirst, fatigue, and ultimately, organ failure and death. A person living in a hot place, like Hasaka, and having to perform laborious activities such as taking care of animals, or small children, could die in only a few days without water.

WHO, UNICEF recommend face masks for children aged 12 and older

GENEVA, August 23. /TASS/. The World Health Organization and the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) advise all children aged 12 and older to wear face masks due to the novel coronavirus pandemic.

"WHO and UNICEF advise that children aged 12 and over should wear a mask under the same conditions as adults, in particular when they cannot guarantee at least a 1-metre distance from others and there is widespread transmission in the area," reads a fact sheet posted on the WHO website.

For children aged between six and 11, the decision on wearing masks depends on a number of factors, including "the ability of the child to safely and appropriately use a mask" and "potential impact of wearing a mask on learning and psychosocial development."

Other factors to be taken into account is virus transmission in the area where the child resides and adequate adult supervision and instructions to the child on how to put on, take off and safely wear masks.

Banks And Brands Must Clean Up Their Conflict Palm Oil Problem

New evidence of human suffering, illegal deforestation, burning of peatlands and the destruction of habitat of critically endangered wildlife continues to emerge in connection to known suppliers of these same companies.

Multinational banks have also been complicit in facilitating GAR’s reckless palm oil sourcing practices.

The communities whose land has been stolen cannot wait any longer for resolution. And the iconic wildlife species, the tigers, elephants, orangutans and rhinos whose numbers in many cases are dwindling to the hundreds of individuals, certainly cannot wait.

For many years now, the research has been verified and the evidence has been presented all the way up the palm oil supply chain, from the jagged edges of freshly cut rainforest to the boardrooms of some of the largest household name food brands in the world. Consumers have rallied en masse to make their demands clear that they want Conflict Palm Oil connected to rights abuses and environmental destruction to go. And the promises have been made - hundreds of major brands and banks have publicly committed to remove problematic palm oil from their products, most with 2020 as their deadline.

But the fact remains that new evidence of human suffering, illegal deforestation, burning of peatlands and the destruction of habitat of critically endangered wildlife continues to emerge in connection to known suppliers of these same companies. Are we really to believe that these multibillion-dollar international behemoth corporations with expertise in managing the logistics of complex global supply chains just can't figure out how to get this right? Each new case of conflict and destruction raised must be used as an opportunity to fix what is broken and set up systems that prevent the same abuses from occurring again. The actions taken need to be swift, specific, and followed through to the end.

Just this week, new field investigations by Rainforest Action Network (RAN) and documentation by Indonesian NGOs LBH Banda Aceh and Walhi Aceh have uncovered evidence that major brands continue to source Conflict Palm Oil. Controversial palm oil company PT. Dua Perkasa Lestari (PT. DPL) has continued to supply Conflict Palm Oil to major brands including Nestlé, Mars, Mondelēz, PepsiCo and Unilever via palm oil giants Golden Agri Resources (GAR) and Permata Hijau, despite PT. DPL’s gross violation of the rights of the Pante Cermin community in Aceh, Indonesia.

LBH Banda Aceh and Walhi Aceh’s investigation reveals a decades-long unresolved conflict with the Pante Cermin community that includes a lack of proper permits by PT. DPL to operate in the first place, well-documented land grabbing of customary lands, destruction of community food crops without Free Prior and Informed Consent (FPIC), and the systematic use of military force to intimidate and displace community members in violation of the policies of Indonesia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The fact that a company like PT. DPL has continued to supply the global market while actively violating the rights of local communities, misusing security apparati to intimidate community members, and ignoring substantial legal problems in its permitting process, means that major brands are not taking their responsibility to implement their ‘No Deforestation, No Peatland and No Exploitation’ policies seriously.

Did China's Consulate in Houston Use TikTok to Stir Up Antifa/BLM Riots?

The Trump administration closed China’s consulate in Houston in late July. The Department of Justice, on a call with reporters a few days after the closure, outlined several reasons that that specific consulate deserved to be shut.

SENIOR JUSTICE DEPARTMENT OFFICIAL: Thank you, and good morning to all of you. Thank you for joining us this morning. By their very nature, consulates are a base of operations for foreign governments in the United States, including their intelligence services. And it’s understood that there will be some activity here by those services. But because of their location within the United States and their status as sovereign[1] territory of a foreign country, they can be exploited. And the espionage and influence activities run out of a consulate can rise ultimately to a level that threatens our national security.

Let me give you a few examples of that in the context of the consulate closure in Houston. Yesterday we issued – we being the Department of Justice – a press release highlighting a network of PLA associates who concealed their military affiliation when applying for student visas here. One of those individuals was a fugitive from justice until last night, having received sanctuary in the San Francisco consulate. That press release and the individuals charged there are a microcosm, we believe, of a broader network of individuals in more than 25 cities. That network is supported through the consulates here. Consulates have been giving individuals in that network guidance on how to evade and obstruct our investigation, and you can infer from that the ability to task that network of associates nationwide.

The Houston consulate was also implicated in an investigation of grant fraud at a Texas research institution. Consulate officials directly involved – were directly involved in communications with researchers and guided them on what information to collect. The consulates in Houston – including Houston promoted talent plan memberships. Memberships in talent plans can create the incentives to steal intellectual property and otherwise create conflicts of interest.

That talent plan is Thousand Talents, a large and sprawling effort on the part of the Chinese Communist Party to subvert top-level researchers in the United States and across the free world in a variety of key fields and buy their research, which is turned over to the People’s Liberation Army. That’s China’s ironically named military, which liberates no one, threatens its own citizens, and helps maintain the communists’ police state. Thousand Talents has been uncovered and several arrests have been made this year, including the high-profile arrest of Dr. Charles Lieber of Harvard. Lieber is one of the world’s top nanoscientists. The Department of Justice accuses him of secretly working for the communists in Beijing via the Wuhan University of Technology.

At the time of the Houston consulate’s closure, we and many others reported that individuals were seen burning documents in the consulate’s courtyard. Who was burning them, and for what purpose, we could only guess. There was speculation that the consulate was somehow involved in the ongoing protests and riots in cities across the country.

In August, the Trump administration moved to ban TikTok, the Chinese-owned social media app. The administration is threatening to ban it unless it gets sold away from Chinese ownership. Microsoft is said to be in the running to purchase it. TikTok is countering with a lawsuit against the Trump administration. The ban also included Chinese social-media app WeChat, which many Chinese nationals use to connect around the world. It is reportedly monitored and censored by the communist government. Among other things, TikTok has been accused of scooping up the private personal data of its users, which include many underage children, and sending that data to servers in China.

De Blasio's 'Utopia'? Quarter-Mile Food-Bank Line Spotted In Queens

Three weeks into a fiscal cliff, a large food bank line emerged on Saturday (Aug. 22) in Queens, a New York City borough, stretching for nearly a quarter-mile down the street.

With each passing day, the failure of Congress and the Trump administration to agree on the next round of stimulus exerts more and more pressure on consumers, who now derive a quarter of all personal income from the government.

The La Jornada food pantry, located on 133-36 Roosevelt Ave, Queens, usually hands out food packages to 1,000 families per week. Now, according to the New York Post, the number, in recent weeks, has skyrocketed to 10,000.

"It reminds me of the picture from the Great Depression where a man in a suit and tie is giving another man in a suit and tie an apple. That's all he had," La Jornada's Pedro Rodriguez told The Post, adding that food supplies are running low.

Rodriguez, a volunteer of the food pantry who is executive director, said, "We feel like we are underwater, drowning in a tsunami of people." He said the surge in hungry families coming to the food bank is "unbelievable."

The Post interviewed Walter Barrera, who arrived at the food bank at 6:00 ET Saturday to pick up groceries for his family. Barrera, 50, has waited in line every Saturday for food as he lost his construction job during the pandemic. He said there are no jobs available; nevertheless, his teenage sons, 19 and 17, also cannot find jobs.

Barrera said his family is broke, close friends and relatives are helping them pay their $2,300 per month rent in the city:

"What do I tell my children when they look at me with hungry bellies, especially my 11-year-old son?" said Barrera, who is an immigrant from South America, came to the US two decades, in search of the American dream.

Now the dream is dead as the virus-induced recession has crushed millions of low-income folks into financial doom.

"It breaks my heart. I'm their father. I'm supposed to feed them.," he said.

Pentagon's $278 million failure to eradicate ISIS from Philippines exposed

Three years later, Operation Pacific Eagle-Philippines has failed to diminish the presence of ISIS in the Philippines, IG says

The Golden Horseshoe is a weekly designation from Just the News intended to highlight egregious examples of wasteful taxpayer spending by the government. The ward is named for the horseshoe-shaped toilet seats for military airplanes that cost the Pentagon a whopping $640 each back in the 1980s.

This week, our award goes to the Defense Department for spending $278 million on efforts to reduce terrorism in the Philippines. According to a recently released Inspector General report, the pricey efforts “do not appear to have made a substantial difference.”

Operation Pacific Eagle-Philippines (OPE-P) was launched in 2017 to support the government of the Philippines in its effort to counter and dismantle ISIS affiliates and other extremists groups in the region. The operation was launched by the U.S. Secretary of Defense and is executed in conjunction with the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command, the U.S. Department of State, and the U.S. Agency for International Development. The primary goal of OPE-P is to provide the Philippine military with resources to fight ISIS-EA (the East Asian branch of the global terror network), its affiliate groups, and other terrorist cells in the area.

However, despite the hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars being funneled into the operation, the quarterly report from the DOD Inspector General estimates that 300-500 ISIS actors remain active across the Philippine islands, a number that “remained unchanged from previous quarters.”

In April, 40 ISIS militants attacked members of the Philippine Armed Forces, killing 12 and wounding an additional 13. The IG report describes the attack as the deadliest one in 15 months. In 2019, a suicide bombing at a church on the southwestern island of Jolo killed 23 and injured more than 100.

Past quarterly reports have yielded similar conclusions about the ongoing status of terrorist groups in the region. Since 2018, “there has been little change in the capabilities, size, financing, and operations of ISIS-EA.” Terror groups on the islands continue to carry out mostly small-scale, sporadic attacks, and have remained “about the same size and strength for the last few years” — indicating that very little has changed for the region’s fight against terror in the time since the inception of Operation Pacific Eagle-Philippines. Twitter Labels Trump's Post Criticizing 'Mail Drop Boxes' as Violating 'Civic & Election Integrity'

Trump took to Twitter on Sunday to criticise Democrats for using Mail Drop Boxes which he called "a voter security disaster" amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Twitter has placed a disclaimer on President Trump's tweet in which he slammed the promotion of mail drop boxes by Democrats as violating the company's "civic and election integrity" rules.

"Twitter has determined that it may be in the public’s interest for the tweet to remain accessible," the company said in the disclaimer attached to the post.

So now the Democrats are using Mail Drop Boxes, which are a voter security disaster. Among other things, they make it possible for a person to vote multiple times. Also, who controls them, are they placed in Republican or Democrat areas? They are not Covid sanitized. A big fraud!

Australia has picked the right COVID-19 vaccine, says Dr Anthony Fauci

Dr Anthony Fauci, the United States' top infectious diseases expert, has told 60 Minutes he believes Australia has picked the right vaccine candidate to protect against coronavirus.

In his only Australian interview, the world-famous doctor said the potential vaccine secured by the Australian government earlier this week was one of the top candidates for a safe and effective vaccine.

"The candidate that comes out of the UK is now being tested by the British in Brazil and in South Africa," he told reporter Tara Brown.

Dr Fauci is confident there will be a COVID-19 vaccine by the end of the year, with recent advances in technology speeding up the process of creating a safe and effective vaccine significantly.

"The proof in the pudding, obviously, is going to be what the result of the trial is. But those kinds of inklings makes us have some aspirational hope that by the time we get to the end of the year, we'll have a vaccine.

Minnesota Woman Indicted On Murder Charges In Death Of 8-Year-Old Son

MINNEAPOLIS — On Aug. 20, a Hennepin County Grand Jury indicted Tasha Tennin with first-degree murder for the death of her eight-year-old son, the Hennepin County Attorney’s Office said Friday.

Tennin, 36, of Brooklyn Park, was indicted by the grand jury with first-degree murder while committing child abuse with a past pattern of child abuse, and unintentional second-degree murder while committing a felony for causing the death of her eight-year-old son in February 2018. Upon her indictment, an arrest warrant was executed. The State asked for bail in the amount of $2M. She was located and arrested Aug. 21.

When originally charged in September 2019 for the death of her son, Tennin faced two counts of second-degree manslaughter, one for endangerment of a child and the other for culpable negligence.

Tennin is expected to make her first court appearance following the indictment on Aug. 24.

According to the criminal complaint, Tennin contacted police and paramedics on Feb. 1, 2018, at approximately 7:30 a.m. to report her son was unresponsive.

Police found her son lying on the living room floor with no pulse and cold to the touch. Tennin told police she attempted to wake her son for school that morning, but he was unresponsive and she carried him from his bedroom to the living room, the complaint states.

Police and paramedics at the scene and medical examiner’s office investigator each described the boy’s body as being “ice cold,” and “very cold, as if he had been outside.” Despite the efforts of the police and paramedics, the boy was pronounced dead at 8:14 a.m., according to the complaint.

Tennin told Brooklyn Park Detectives that her son came home from school sick, lethargic and without an appetite the day before. However, staff members at the boy’s school told investigators that he had been playing and jumping on a trampoline, the complaint states.

Police reported that the boy appeared to have urinated in his pajamas, and a police sergeant noticed a puddle of frozen liquid in the attached garage. When police came back to Tennin’s home with a search warrant a week after the death, the liquid was gone, the complaint says.

The medical examiner’s autopsy found no anatomical cause for the victim’s death, and on the boy’s back, there were multiple lesions and scars which a doctor stated were indicative of physical abuse, according to the complaint.

Months after the boy’s death, his siblings told foster parents more about what happened. One of the children said the boy got into trouble on Jan. 31, 2018 and was told by Tennin to sit outside in the garage. Tennin locked the garage and the boy was left outside for the night. The boy was found unable to breathe the next morning, the complaint states.

Sweden’s Senior Epidemiologist Warns Wearing Face Masks Is “Very Dangerous”

Andres Tengell, Sweden’s top epidemiologist, warns against people wearing face masks, saying it is “very dangerous,” but not because of health risks, but instead, they provide a false sense of security.

Summit News reports:

“It is very dangerous to believe face masks would change the game when it comes to COVID-19,” said Anders Tengell, who has overseen Sweden’s response to the pandemic while resisting any form of lockdown or mask mandate.

“Face masks can be a complement to other things when other things are safely in place,” Tengell added.

“But to start with having face masks and then think[ing] you can crowd your buses or your shopping malls — that’s definitely a mistake,” he further urged.

Tegnell has consistently spoken out against the use of masks, last month declaring that “With numbers diminishing very quickly in Sweden, we see no point in wearing a face mask in Sweden, not even on public transport.”

“The findings that have been produced through face masks are astonishingly weak, even though so many people around the world wear them,” Tengell has urged.

“I’m surprised that we don’t have more or better studies showing what effect masks actually have. Countries such as Spain and Belgium have made their populations wear masks but their infection numbers have still risen,” the epidemiologist also declared.

Sweden, which didn’t enforce any mandatory lockdown order, has seen its coronavirus cases and deaths slow to a trickle.

“That Sweden has come down to these levels is very promising,” Tegnell has said, adding “The curves are going down and the curves for the seriously ill are beginning to approach zero.”

The one thing we can agree on is that face masks are of no help to the people wearing them. However, they are indeed a threat to your own health as well as a symbol of your submission to your fears and to liars preying on those fears.

As we have reported previously, Ohio Rep. Nino Vitale demonstrated that wearing a face mask does reduce oxygen levels, and though his video was pulled down by YouTube, who claimed it was somehow misinformation, the fact is it has been demonstrated to fall even below OSHA standards.

Detroit Absentee Ballot Chaos: ‘So Inaccurate We Can’t Even Attempt to Make Right’

Wayne County, Michigan, leaders want the Secretary of State to intervene after there was chaos while counting absentee ballots on primary election night.

The Detroit News reported:

Recorded ballot counts in 72% of Detroit’s absentee voting precincts didn’t match the number of ballots cast, spurring officials in Michigan’s largest county to ask the state to investigate ahead of a pivotal presidential election.

Without an explanation from Detroit election workers for the mismatches, the Wayne County Board of Canvassers requested this week for Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson’s office to examine the “training and processes” used in Detroit’s Aug. 4 primary, which one official described as a “perfect storm” of challenges. The board is charged with certifying election results.

Forty-six percent of all precinct numbers were askew, canvassers were told.

According to state law, precincts cannot be counted where poll books — that is, a list of registered voters in that precinct — are not matched with the ballots.

Data presented to the board said 81 precincts, including 73 absentee voter precincts, were +/- 5 votes “without explanation.”

Monica Palmer, one of the Republican members of the four-person Wayne County Board of Canvassers, told the News procedures were not followed.

“It was so inaccurate that we can’t even attempt to make it right,” she said.

Breitbart News obtained an affidavit from Bob Cushman, who was appointed as a “poll challenger” by the Michigan Republican Party and was present as ballots were being counted at the TCF Center, formerly known as the Cobo Center. Cushman said he stayed on site until 5:10 a.m. after Election Day.

Cushman recounted several counting tables “had opened ballots with no poll book” to check whether the individual was authorized to cast that ballot.

In another instance, he “noticed pages being inserted into several poll books.”

According to Cushman, some workers left early as the day dragged into the night.

Polls closed at 8:00 p.m., but Cushman observed at 12:37 a.m., “The threat was made that the $100 bonus that had been promised earlier (over the public address system) would not be paid.”

Cushman said an order was made around 2:00 a.m. to open the remaining ballots “for immediate tabulation without additional processing or notation.”

Cushman will be appearing on The Kyle Olson Show this week and his interview will be released exclusively at Breitbart News.

The Detroit News reported 1.6 million Michiganders cast absentee ballots in August and that number is expected to be higher in November.

‘Hydroxychloroquine’ And The COVID-19 Political Battlefield. It Became 2020’s Dirty Word.

What is the American public to believe about getting the best treatment possible for COVID-19? In fact, most Americans don’t know what to believe and it’s with good reason.

Everyone assumes that their doctors, or emergency room physician are giving the best advice based on the information available during our most difficult times. Unfortunately, that is not always the case. Why? Because many of our doctors and hospitals lack the necessary studies that would give them the answers they need regarding the virus from China that has turned the world upside down.

Those failures, coupled with politics has put COVID-19 and particularly ‘Hydroxychloroquine’ at the center of a viral political battlefield. It became 2020’s dirty word. And anyone who, including doctors who wanted to give the long-time malaria drug a chance, were ostracized in the media, as well as social media. Some of President Trump’s supporters attributed it to his open support of trying the drug with the advice of a doctor. After all, anything Trump supports becomes a political football.

Still, did it matter. There were studies on both sides that were complete failures. Some studies in showed it worked and others studies like the Lancet, which had to be retracted was touted by the anti-Trump media. That failed study stated that it was based on the “health records of almost 100,000 patients around the world, found that hospitalized Covid-19 patients treated with the antimalarial drug Hydroxychloroquine — a drug repeatedly touted by President Trump — had a sharply higher risk of death and heart problems compared to those who did not receive the drug.” It was a completely failed study.

So, what are we to believe and how do we make the best decisions to ensure our health and that of our family? We just can’t.

Some of us have had to throw caution to the wind and search for what we believe would save the lives of those we love, particularly if they are facing the end of their life.

Still, there are rules and many times, no matter how hard we try, we just don’t have the ability to make the best informed decisions. On Friday, for example, the Infectious Diseases Society of America revised its Covid-19 treatment guidelines.

it toughened its stance against the use of the anti-malarial drug that’s been widely touted by President Donald Trump as a way to deal with the pandemic.

IDSA now recommends not to use hydroxychloroquine either by itself or along with the antibiotic azithromycin for patients with the coronavirus, even in hospitals. The society previously called for limited use of hydroxychloroquine in trials.

By Saturday morning President Donald Trump revealed his frustration with the whole mess.

He took a jab at the Food and Drug Administration’s decision to also withdraw its approval for the emergency use of Hydroxychloroquine in June for the treatment of the novel coronavirus. At the same time, he called out the FDA for its apparently stringent regulations to do human testing for vaccines and current therapeutics that could mitigate the spread of the COVID-19 virus.

Alleged Taliban Hit List, Including Names Of Prominent Afghan Politicians, Leaked

An alleged hit list put by the Taliban, with the names of prominent Afghan politicians and public figures, was reportedly leaked online.

The list surfaced on Afghan social media earlier this week. On August 21, Rahmatullah Nabil, a former director of the National Directorate of Security (NDS) shared a photo of the list, which included his name.

A statement attached to the list reveals that the included names were suggested by the Taliban’s cultural commission. The group’s leadership approved their elimination.

Suhail Shaheen, a spokesman for the Taliban based in Qatar, denied that the hit list was put by the group, accusing the Afghan government of fabricating the list. The government is yet to comment on the matter.

Earlier this year, the Taliban reached a historical deal with the U.S. Washington committed to gradually withdraw from the war-torn country as a part of the deal.

The deal is currently facing serious challenges due the lack of trust between the Taliban and the Afghan government. The alleged hit list will, without a doubt, further complicate the trust issues between the two sides.

Comey: 'I can't imagine that I'm a target' of Durham probe

Former FBI Director James Comey spoke dismissively of Connecticut U.S. Attorney John Durham's investigation of the origins of the bureau's Russia probe Sunday, saying he has not been contacted for it and that it is being used as a political tool for President Trump and his supporters.

In an interview that aired Sunday on CBS' "Face the Nation," Comey insisted that everyone involved in the investigation was "trying to do the right thing" and therefore Durham's probe was not concerning for him.

"I have had no contact with him and haven’t talked to him," Comey said about Durham, adding, “I can’t imagine that I’m a target.”

A Justice Department Inspector General's report that there had been a significant number of inaccuracies and omissions in warrant applications the FBI filed with the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court that allowed them to monitor former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page. The report revealed that the FBI relied on unverified information contained in a dossier compiled by former British spy Christopher Steele.

Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., who is leading a Senate investigation of the matter, has pointed out that the FBI used the dossier even though the FBI had interviewed Steele's sub-source, who said that the information was unreliable. Graham has openly wondered who in the bureau was aware of what the sub-source said.

“We’re not going to let the system blame some low-level intel analyst or case agent for defrauding the court,” Graham told Fox News in July. “I believe it goes to the very top, and I’m going to get to the bottom of it and that means Sally Yates and Rosenstein, and McCabe and Comey are all going to come before the committee and they’re going to be asked, ‘What did you know and when did you know it?’”

Mandatory masks in all of Victoria (even where I live, 90 minutes from Melbourne in a town where the nearest COVID case was 40 minutes away, and that was months ago. No reported COVID death within a 150km radius of where I live but I still am made to feel like I need to wear a mask and avoid all human contact.)

No travel except for "essential activities".

Army deployed at stops outside of Melbourne to prevent anyone from getting out or in. Heavy police and army presence on foot in the streets and on the roads and in the skies.

Police can enter your home without a warrant and there are reports of police breaking car windows to force people to hand over details.
