>>1040560 >DARPA new director?

>>1040616 >https:// www.darpa.mil/news-events/2017-11-08

>Walker succeeds Dr. Arati Prabhakar, who left the Agency in January 2017 and currently is a fellow at Stanford Universityโ€™s Center for Advanced Study in the Behavioral Sciences. Walker, DARPA deputy director since October 2012, has been serving as acting director in the interim.

so DARPA went from a focus on behaviorial psychology to space engineering. sounds about right.

hmm, let's see where Dr. A.P. ended up...

>ttp://www.indiawest.com/news/global_indian/two-indian-americans-named-fellows-of-the-center-for-advanced/article_8131f81a-4d77-11e7-9bef-23671312008c.html

The Center for Advanced Study in the Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University recently named its 2017-2018 Fellows class, including Arati Prabhakar and Abraham Verghese.

Prabhakar served as a director of the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency in Arlington, Va., most recently. Before her five-year stint there, she was a partner at U.S. Venture Partners for 10 years, a vice president and president at Interval Research, a senior vice president and chief technology officer at Raychem, director at the National Institute of Standards and Technology, program manager at DARPA, and congressional Fellow and analyst at the Office of Technology Assessment in Washington, D.C.

She earned a bachelor's from Texas Tech University and a master's and doctorate from Caltech.

>---

Stanford? another coincidence, wow. maybe she can say hello to Condi for us?

and a behaviorial psychologist as a partner at a venture capital firm for 10 years? hmmm, wonder if they served Bernays sauce in the cafeteria?

Clark most certainly a doosh. some anons. were speculating last week that he might replace ES @ AlphaBet in a "white knight" scenario.

another fun fact: our friend Regina Dugan donated to his primary campaign in 2004. paltry sum, but possibly telling.

thanks for the anecdote. gut feelings rank high in my book, even from anon. sources.

still, can't get these potential gems out of my head:

Aliases: Gen. Wesley K. Clark, "Perfumed Prince", "the Supreme Being"

Plain, freshly made popcorn is one of his preferred snacks.

<No salt?

Clark was born on 23 December 1944 and grew up in Little Rock, Arkansas.

>http:// www.zpub.com/un/clark.html

"The poster child for everything that is wrong with the GO (general officer) corps," exclaims one colonel, who has had occasion to observe Clark in action, citing, among other examples, his command of the 1st Cavalry Division at Fort Hood from 1992 to 1994

"At the beginning of the Kosovo conflict,CounterPunch delved into the military career of General Wesley Clark and discovered that his meteoric rise through the ranks derived from the successful manipulation of appearances: faking the results of combat exercises, greasing to superiors and other practices common to the general officer corps. We correctly predicted that the unspinnable realities of a real war would cause him to become unhinged. Given that Clark attempted to bomb the CNN bureau in Belgrade and ordered the British General Michael Jackson to engage Russian troops in combat at the end of the war, we feel events amply vindicated our forecast.

With the end of hostilities it has become clear even to Clark that most people, apart from some fanatical members of the war party in the White House and State Department, consider the general, as one Pentagon official puts it, "a horse's ass". Defense Secretary William Cohen is known to loathe him, and has seen to it that the Hammer of the Serbs will be relieved of the Nato command two months early.

>โ€”

would be interesting to hear from some military anons. who have served with him. until then, will hold off on any more perfume jokes.

that Little Rock, ARK connection looks saucy though.
