What was the strategic advantage of telling us about no name involvement in FF, but have POTUS contradict?

Did you want enemy to think we weren’t going to attack?

Why not just tell public “we are aware of bad actors amongst rebels and have evidence these actors had strategic advantage in trying to initiate WW3 as a means of distraction. We will be targeting those responsible.”

Is the world not ready for that explanation?

Only problem I have with that explanation — this not a surprise. This same FF has been carried out twice before. Do you really believe we don’t have evidence of who performed this attack? We knew this was going to happen, based off our prior actions to tell them we were going to pull out. Does not add up.

Was costly risk to choose go along with narrative calling our Russia and Assad, after he knows and have the world knows that is a lie.
