I tried to find the original notable related to pic related (link given below for [misspelled PDF]) but was unsuccessful.

This was an odd notable. Basically, someone posted a PDF of the book "Metropolis" by Thea Von Harbou without much explanation. As it was a notable, I figured I'd read it. It took me about 5 hours to read it. Not difficult.

The reason for my post is that given the context of the notable, I think this was more than just a notable.

I think the cabal is pleading for their lives. I'll explain:

I hated the ending of this book. There was no justice. The technical guy was irrationally framed as the bad guy in the very last scenes of the book and he was arguably a victim of the real asshat. The main bad guy miraculously understood how he had sinned and was going to end up being responsible for leading everyone to rebuild the shit he fucked up.

I STRONGLY encourage everyone to read this if for no other reason than to see if you agree with my analysis.

Once again, I think this was a negotiation message – the cabal is begging for their lives. They're terrified we're going to hang them and they'd much rather have a nice, neat, tidy ending where they get to keep doing the same shit they've always done at our expense.

There will be justice.

>but your analysis of how the cycle perpetuates is spot on.

Yes, I'm aware. This is an odd one. The original notable didn't have a reason to be notable. I thought the book might provide some insight, but the only reason I can come up with is that the cabal is communicating.

Infuriating ending. Thanks for the feedback.

>because you got shoot in the head for being a terrorist

well it shouldn't be a completely unexpected ending to this evening. there are great reasons we're not out there.
