I was the anon who posted the live feed and updates beginning around 1 AM est. It was such a powder keg that I couldn't stop watching. On this video you could hear the multiple shots ring out as the youtuber and crowd run to the gunfire. Cries of "Medic!" are heard and the feed changes to another local youtuber as they were somehow videotaping the night in tandem. This other youtube actually helped the victim shot in the arm by compressing the wound as the police arrived to transport him to the hospital a block away.
From what I saw, the altercation first began as the police began to move the crowd away from the fenced courthouses with plenty of tear gas, other non-lethal projectiles and 3 - 4 large armored militarized or NG "Bearcats". The crowd was pushed back down the wide street which had been burned and looted the twtwo previous nights.
The second youtuber moved with the crowd until they reached a boarded up commercial building which had about a dozen or so men with semi-automatic rifles defending it from the rooftops and at street level.
This youtuber should be highly commended for trying to keep the peace between the tear-gassed and antifa-infiltrated angry crowd and the armed men defending the building. At one point the two sides were arguing face to face with all of the armed men holding their weapons down and exercising proper trigger control.
The posted off crowd saw and vented on these armed men as if they were police. You could see, hear and feel the tension rise and, again, the youtuber is heard mediating between the two. In particular, he tells the men that they are courting trouble by leaving the property and interacting with the crowd on the street. However, and importantly, one of the armed men said that one of the protestors was carrying a tucked hangun.
While this is going on, the youtuber's attention is drawn to sounds at ground level BEHIND the building and behind a tall picket fence. He yells to an armed man on top the building that there is something going on BEHIND the building with the man strangely replying that "Those are just rats".
Moments later the shots rang out. The youtuber, later and still in shock like everyone, met the other youtuber who said he had videotaped the actual shooting. You can see a crowd watching the camera screen as the dude rewinds. However, all he has is some film of a guy with a rifle running away from the gunshots yelling "I didn't shoot anybody". But no actual film of the shooting.
At that point I called it a night and hit the rack.
