Much love and prayers going out to my coonass people down near Lake Charles, Louisiana. Y'all stay as dry as you can. Be safe, be careful. This is one well-organized, powerful storm. Almost as bad as Camille was to Biloxi.
The eye wall is firm all 360 degrees. It's well-organized and tight, hence VERY powerful. Do you even hurricane, dude?
I was in Biloxi the night before Camille came ashore. They ran us out of the hotel at 2 am. Damned glad we got out. The winds were over 200 MPH. This storm is much like Camille, strong and well organized. Not quite as fast winds, but the 15-foot storm surge is going to be supremely destructive, even miles inland.
