Yeah, sadly. I understand how it feels. What helped for me was - stating my case, asking the questions, and if it got rough and they got very emotional, I'd stop discussing that and turn to apple pies or dinner plans until it got normal. Eventually we got to an understanding. I'd tease a Q proof every now and then but not respond to attacks afterwards.
