PF has no idea which aircraft, the P-3 Orion or the C-130, is better equipped and/or safer to fly through a hurricane. But the aircrews on both certainly have stones. Props.

Dunno, but PF thinks a high power to weight ratio would be desirable. Thereby being able to really advance the throttle and keep control in high wind situations. Especially a high tailwind. So I'm thinking the C-130 might have the edge here because it is a cargo aircraft and I'm sure they don't fly it into a storm loaded to capacity with cargo. So it should have lots of reserve power. But I could be completely wrong and the custom P-3 Orion might actually be superior. Probably a long shot that they are exactly equal though. One, or the other, should have a slight edge.
