The good news is that Laura's a compact tight little number.

The surge, while severe for those who take it head on, will not be widespread.

The winds throughout the rest of the night as it plows north will be the bigger widespread issue.

Fast mover so flooding won't get too out of hand.

It's not the only game in town just the most popular.

It's not good from a message spreading perspective to have it be the McDonalds of Q drop repositories.

Hopefully the others (operationQ is better) get moar pub now so they have to play whack-a-mole.

Decentralize!

New Orleans (east) and Houston (just west) will be generally ok.

Lake Charles is the only city of decent size that will get hit with serious wind damage.

Overall, news will hype but escaped a bigger catastrophe than a hurricane of that strength could deliver.
