how did I get to the place from thinking he was a good person to knowing that he probably wasn't so nice?
just the whole 'move to new york and openly be a junkie' thing too.
Lennon wrote what he thought people wanted to here I suppose. He was larping the peace love bit because that was required in the 1960s or they wouldn't promote you.
and got to watch while the music industry went full-blown mind-control factory.
Maybe he could have redeemed himself, not that it matters what I think. If he'd lived . . . perhaps he'd have gotten to a better place.
But in hindsight I think it is wrong to present a music band to children for idolization, and that is what the world did with the Beatles in the 1960s.
we should have been spared it.
most of the early songs were just straight rip offs of American Negro Rockers, played at a faster speed. Almost all of it.
and if you ever hear Lennon play solo or acoustic you realize he's just punching through very basic verse verse course almost talentless blues rock. It's really rather boring without all the extra effort of post production.
At least he and Yoko were smart enough to end the band.
Dan is speaking tonight!
he all know that modern day athletics is used to identify and groom the bait people for the spy industry, right?
no
music is all the same all over the world.
they didn't 'steal' it.
their owners did.
I am sure they had to make backroom deals behind the scenes to not have it brought out that it was a theft.
but at the same time it was also true that the idea of 'owning' that kind of thing is also absurd.
and now the cabal got (a conjecture wihtout sauce) their dupes to loose a law suit to the esate of another song writer (long sense passed on) so that the idea of a song becomes meaningless and copyright law is just a grift of very powerful insiders who claim to own everything (they 'Blured Lines' to get this).
no no songwriter can release a song without someone else saying 'that's already my grove, you owe me'.
I think that music industr should do a moratorium on a song being a 'forfee' thing.
the idea of owning a tune is rediculous at this point. It all comes from somewhere else.
it's all been written already.
"there is nothing new under the Sun" (this is how Mick Jaegar explained it in 1982 or so in an interview when asked about this very topic of 'song plagery'.)
how should musciians and song writers be paid?
Clearly the moguls want their cut.
the system is broken.
Yes, they seem to have been thieves in that way, but who didn't?
a sudden law that invovlve social distancing that arrives from a newly appointed fat-burghar overlord with a foreign accent squatting in a chair at an office of 'health' gets someone arrested for not wearing a mask.
you comment
"Stop committing crimes and you all won't have to worry your weak hearts out. Idiots."
did you realize they were discussing events in Australia?
I think you are being 'situationally unaware.
If he does we won't tell you it's him/her/them if they do.
