It never was about ethnicity, but always about faith in God. God promised Abraham that all nations would be blessed through his Seed… Christ Yeshua (Jesus). The Jews placed all of their hope on their blood line descendant from Abraham.
Matt. 3:7-9, "7 And having seen many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming about his baptism, he said to them, `Brood of vipers! who did shew you to flee from the coming wrath?
8 bear, therefore, fruits worthy of the reformation,
9 and do not think to say in yourselves, A father we have – Abraham, for I say to you, that God is able out of these stones to raise children to Abraham,"
The point of all of the feasts culminated in the Feast of Tabernacles on the 15th of Tishri, typically referred to by the Jews as THE Feast. Also known as The Feast of the Nations, The Season of Our Joy, and The Feast of Ingathering. It was the time of the fall harvests when every one of every nation could worship with the Jews.
Once Christ was crucified, no other sacrifice would be ever again be acceptable to God. The blood line distinction disappeared, and the definition of Israel changed.
Gal 3:26-29, "26 for ye are all sons of God through the faith in Christ Jesus,
27 for as many as to Christ were baptized did put on Christ;
28 there is not here Jew or Greek, there is not here servant nor freeman, there is not here male and female, for all ye are one in Christ Jesus;
29 and if ye [are] of Christ then of Abraham ye are seed, and according to promise – heirs."
So all who are in Christ are heirs of Abraham, counted for the seed of Abraham through our FAITH line… not the blood line. All who are in Christ are THE ISRAEL of God.
Those who are testing for DNA traces to Jewish bloodlines are the most deceived. The dispersions through the Assyrian, Babylonian, and destruction of Jerusalem moved Jews out into the world. They intermarried, and lived throughout the world. Today, 95% of the world's population have Jewish DNA.
But that proves nothing before God, because He is not looking at the fleshly circumcision, but at the heart circumcision.
Rom. 2:25-29, "25 For circumcision, indeed, doth profit, if law thou mayest practise, but if a transgressor of law thou mayest be, thy circumcision hath become uncircumcision.

28 For he is not a Jew who is [so] outwardly, neither [is] circumcision that which is outward in flesh;
29 but a Jew [is] he who is [so] inwardly, and circumcision [is] of the heart, in spirit, not in letter, of which the praise is not of men, but of God."
So, why is everyone so convinced that the "state" of Israel is any more important than the country of Germany, France, Poland, Russia, China, Spain, etc?
