>I thought it was boring, artsy and highly overrated, kind of like Mulholland Drive.

I enjoyed the fuck out of Mulholland drive but I understand why people dislike it.

It's a MASSIVE takedown of Hollywood hidden behind dream logic and I'll explain why.

It makes a LOT more sense once you understand the premise. Naomi Watts' character has shot herself in the head because of her horrible experience in Hollywood and nasty break up with her GF, the black haired chick. As her life flashes before her eyes, she sees a highly embellished version of her life story play out - this is the movie.

It is possible to piece together the real story of what happened to her via the embellished tale we see on the screen. It's a piece of genius imho. I get that most people don't have the inclination to work all this shit out.

If you care to, search for "Mulholland Drive explained" on YT. I posted one interpretation for starters.

>Thanks. I might give it another chance, it’s been a while since I’ve watched it. That was way before I woke up to Hollyweird or everything else, pretty much.

I hope you enjoy it, fren.

From what I can tell, David Lynch is one of us.

One of the very few who have been allowed to have a career whilst also being massively critical of Hollywood and the ones who run it (if you know what I mean).

I've got a great idea - let's litigate the Kyle Rittenhouse case here right now.

We'll tell the judge what gets decided and save Wisconsin and everyone a whole lot of time and money.

This is gonna be great.
