Donald Trump Jr.: DNC Was like a week long 'I Hate America Zoom Call'

Last week’s Democratic National Convention (DNC) resembled an “I Hate America Zoom call,” Donald Trump Jr. told host Joel Pollak on SiriusXM’s Breitbart News Daily on Thursday.

Trump Jr. described the Republican National Convention (RNC) as “an amazing couple of days.” He added, “You’re seeing the American Dream play out for you on a stage. The Democrats [are] the ones that are known for putting on these glitzy Hollywood-produced shows, but I guess ever since Harvey Weinstein went to prison, they’ve just lost a little bit of their flair.”

Trump Jr. described some of the RNC’s featured speakers as illustrative of the American Dream. He said, “Max Alvarez, Vernon Jones, Burgess Owens [shared] incredible stories [of] living the American Dream, stories that could only happen in America.

Democrats’ view of America is reminiscent of anti-Americanism pushed by foreign enemies, Trump Jr. assessed.

“Compare and contrast [the RNC] to what I saw last week, which [was] like literally a week-long I Hate America Zoom call. It looked like my kids’ kindergarten class. No flair, no nothing. It was basically, ‘If you like anything about your country, you’re a racist. If you like anything about America, you’re a terrible person.’ It was disgusting. It’s the kind of convention you would have seen in Iran talking about America, not America talking about America.”

Trump Jr. said that the RNC’s fourth evening, Thursday, will continue with the theme of the American Dream, celebration of America as a “land of opportunity,” and “it’s okay to love America.”

Pollak praised the production quality of the RNC thus far. He asked, “Tell us the secret behind this. Everyone’s wondering who put this together? How did the RNC create such impressive visuals of the president, such great lighting at Fort McHenry last night? How did the Republican Party and the Trump campaign throw together this incredible production on such short notice?”

Trump Jr. replied, “We did this in four days. The reality is we have people that know what they’re doing. My father’s a big part of that. He understands his visuals. He understands objects. He’s a builder. He’s built a great brand about luxury. .. Being able to package something is not that hard. It’s not that difficult. You just have to put in an effort. The Democrats put in no effort. It’s almost as though they weren’t even trying to win over people.”

Rioters tore through parts of Minneapolis on Wednesday night, shattering the windows of dozens of businesses and setting fire to at least four more in response to a false rumor that a man who killed himself had been shot by police.

Around 7:40 p.m. Wednesday night, tensions escalated in downtown Minneapolis between police and a crowd surrounding the scene where a 38-year-old man fatally shot himself near Nicollet Mall and 8th Street. Some began smashing in windows of nearby storefronts as rioting spread along a half-mile stretch of Nicollet Mall just northeast of Loring Park and nearby West Grant Street.

Brit's Pub, at 11th and Nicollet, was set on fire, as were three other businesses at least a few miles away, including Tires Plus on West Lake Street, China Wok on 27th Avenue, and Walgreens at 43rd and South Chicago Avenue.

The rioting stretched from 5th to 12th streets along Nicollet Mall, and spread as far as a gas station and liquor store near Loring Park. Some businesses, like Target, had planned to reopen as soon as Thursday afternoon.

Email From Rod Rosenstein Contradicts Robert Mueller’s Testimony Before Congress — Roger Stone Finds This Interesting. John Brennan, James Clapper, and now Robert Mueller are allowed to lie to Congress — Roger Stone has questions

Roger Stone was prosecuted by Robert Mueller’s Special Counsel’s Office, convicted, and sentenced to 40 months in prison for, among other things, lying to Congress about the identity of his alleged intermediary with Wikileaks founder Julian Assange.

Robert Mueller testified before Congress that he was not a candidate for the position of FBI Director following the firing of Jim Comey from that position by Pres. Trump on May 7, 2017.

A memorandum written by former Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, dated May 17, 2017, time-stamped at 9:54 am, to Jody Hunt, the Chief of Staff for then Attorney General Jeff Sessions, seems to stated quite directly that Robert Mueller withdrew from consideration for the the position of FBI Director.

So, about that whole “lying to Congress” thing…..

Image

The prior day, May 16, 2017, Mueller and Rosenstein had met with President Trump in the Oval Office. President Trump has made the statement that Mueller was there to interview for the position of FBI Director.

Mueller was asked about this during his testimony before Congress. Here is a transcript of that exchange:

Image

Robert Mueller: I had not applied for and I did not interview for the FBI Director position in the Oval Office on May 16, 2017.

Rod Rosenstein: Robert Mueller withdrew from consideration to be FBI Director on May 17, 2017.

We know about that Oval Office meeting as a result of an email between Rod Rosenstein and former DOJ Deputy Attorney General Mark Filip which happened on May 16, 2017. In that email, Rosenstein said he was “With Mueller now.” Rosenstein explained recently in a speech that his email had been widely misconstrued as some pledge of fealty to Mueller as of that date, when what it actually meant he was with — physically accompanying — Mueller at the moment he sent the email. They were together in the White House waiting to meet with President Trump.

Rosenstein and Mueller have a 30+ year history together. Both were career-long members of DOJ. But the widely unknown story is that Rosenstein’s first-ever position with DOJ — an internship — was with the US Attorney’s Office for the District of Massachusetts in the mid-1980s, and the US Attorney for that District was Robert Mueller.

Rosenstein announced the appointment of a Special Counsel and named Robert Mueller to be that Special Counsel, later in the afternoon on May 17, 2017. After leaving the White House on May 16, Mueller and Rosenstein met again later that afternoon in Rosenstein’s DOJ office. It was at that second meeting that Mueller agreed to be the Special Counsel.

It seems clear that at some point in time, Rosenstein and/or Mueller — or members of Mueller’s SCO — decided that the “optics” of Mueller being a candidate to be named by Donald Trump to again be FBI Director one day, and then taking the role of Special Counsel to investigate Donald Trump the next day — after not getting the FBI job — would cause some difficult questions to be asked about the propriety of such decision-making.

So Robert Mueller decided to not be truthful about his May 16 meeting with the President when he testified before Congress.

It is hard to envision what motivation Rod Rosentsein would have had to draft an email to Jeff Sessions’ Chief of Staff saying Mueller had withdrawn from consideration if Mueller had never applied for or interviewed for the job. If Mueller’s testimony was true, why would Rosenstein feel the need to create a false paper trail? It would have been better for the story IF Mueller was never under consideration because he never applied. So nothing explains why Rosenstein would send Hunt the email announcing Mueller’s withdraw except that Mueller did actually withdraw.

So it that is true, what about his testimony before Congressional?

Roger Stone wants to know.
