Trump makes many statements spanning many years saying that we should have nothing to do with Syria. Then, he bombs Syria.
Seems like Trump would be trying to make himself seem as trustworthy and credible as possible. Regardless of what the bombing accomplished, it greatly diminished Trump's credibility with your average American.
