While yes workers make all this big big money, many shouldn't. Some inspectors, like first time utility inspectors, have kush jobs and get all kinds of set weekly, mileage, per diem and "use" of various shit that totals out to be a good 3k a week before per diem. And what do they "inspect"? A movie on the phone. Trust me we all did it. Slow and play waiting games for 15 hours. Take naps all kinds of shit.

Wind and solar is 100% a scam in its current form. Anon is correct for what it was never meant. That said, it does help mostly empty places like west texas or pretty much anywhere not santa fe in new mexico get power and help with making or semi modernising a giant nothing area.

Its a racket. If one were so inclined to show this to be true, it wouldnt take much. Especially with land "deals"/offers. Ill put it this way. When it comes to oil and gas do not take the first offer. Negotiate on how it goes through your property(ies) with the maximum amount of line to trespass. You may get away with declining another offer after that but your third is the last chance before they start going down, thinking youre greedy and eventual land snatching. So think about this a second. If a pipeline goes through 100 miles of various properties and all the money they gotta fork over on top of contractors and evironmentalists and permits and all that red tape
Then per diem and overtime. And government gives per diem
How much you think that contract is worth? Including survey and building and welders and diggers etc as well as per diem and land purchase?
Did i mention supplementals?
Heh thats where the big dollars are especially from tax payers.
