This board encourages people to think for themselves, yes, but people can't formulate their own opinions about things until they do their own homework. Lots of conflicting info on various subjects.
Part of the challenge (and blessing) of this board is that we have to sift through so much crap due to shill-posting, that when we find the real nuggets, we can't be dissuaded from our conclusions.
We present our ideas to the lovely bastards (our 'peers') on 8kun and then they get to scrutinize it. Nothing like presenting your homework in front of classmates, and having to defend it. They won't tolerate half-assery or shit research.
