How can we repent if we don’t acknowledge our own sin and culpability?

How can we be restored to a right standing with God if we don’t repent of our sins?

How can we be reconciled back to God unless our relationship with God is restored through repentance?

How can we be renewed (be made new)?

If we confess our sins to God (name them and repent) He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9

for God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son Jesus that who so ever believes in him will not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send his son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through him might be saved.
