God is real. Jesus is real, and alive and very much God and his Holy Spirit too.
don't convolute things more than you have understanding for. You dont know him personally , nor have you felt his power and spirit. If you had, there would be no methaphor or confusion in your progressive mind.
There is no dogma in Relationship with God.
Learn to speak to Him directly. Pray on your knees, repend and ask him to forgive you.
