It’s so much easier to destroy than to create. That’s why much of the world is a big shithole.

Some shitholes have always been so, because the people are incapable of creating anything more elevated than the gutter they were born into. Other places become shitholes because the good things laid by creative and industrious people are neglected, ridiculed, despised, and/or destroyed by people barely fit to shit in the cesspit they make of once noble endowments.

We seem not to be one species at all, but perhaps many - masquerading under the same essential outward physical forms but radically different in everything else.

The 80s were irredeemably gay after about 1981. Even the best band of the ‘80s, The Smiths, were more than a little bit faggy.

But to prove definitively how gay the ‘80s were, I cite the pandemic of perms and bleached streaks that otherwise manly men were bold enough to sport in public. It was touch and go for a few years whether lippy and eyeliner were going to become a majority report.
