Anons digging helps anyone interested in getting as close to the actual truth of the situation as possible with bits of information gathered and put together to paint that picture.

We are all confused on different levels, but no one benefits from not trying to find real information when everybody wants to manipulate you.
Being confused means that you are open to more than one possibility/trail of thought. If you settled for something that someone told you to comfort you into non-confusion you would really be lying to yourself for the sake of emotional comfort. Congrats for allowing yourself to stay uncomfortable and search for truth. That's the path.
Basically, because we all perceive reality thorough the filters of our own ideas, attitudes and emotional needs, everything we perceive is on a personal level. Agreement with others is also an idea based on the comfort of social agreement which is emotionally based.
Our brains are loaded with "programs" that we use to interpret information from the senses. These programs have built in self-preserving mechanisms, they are like their own beings with their own will to continue their existence. Therefore they will reject any information that threatens their existence and conclusion.
This is the work of becoming conscious, waking up, etc. To become aware of these processes and wilfully go against them which will be painful and uncomfortable because it is basically ending a chemical addiction to specific peptides (emotional chemicals) that the cells of the body have gotten used to. Withdrawal from the addiction of self-deception if you will. It's all connected - brain programs - body cells - DNA replicates according to all that information.
So where does the programs come from? Think media, entertainment, movies, music (as discussed in this bread a bit) parenting, schooling, everything that we accept and the younger the recipient the greater the acceptance and the greater the subconscious programming.
Examples of things having a simple answer for everyone then?
Well, You exist. I exist. I have will. You have will. I perceive fire to be hot at this moment in time. On a deeper level though - these are all still opinions made through ideas of reality that I do accept. In the future that may change.
The matrix is real, but its' more fantastic that the movie. And it's much deeper and have much more to do with Your personal consciousness than You have been credited for.
