Both of those came from very seedy environments and were popularized by the same msm we have today pushing the current degeneracy on the population. Dont think for a second those came out of some noble uplifting environment. They were the music of borthels used to entertain the cliente and ease the pain of living in unbearable situations. And the musicians who created it were no angels. Drugs, alcohol, and just about every other vice were common place.
Not saying white culture and its creators/leaders dint have their own problems, just that romanticizing the black culture that brought about jazz and the blues is not helpful.
