Trying to discuss anything with a Qanon follower is like trying to piss into a headwind and not get any on yourself. If you like the idea of the 'umbrella conspiracy' then you'll probably also identify with the idea of the 'prosperity scam'. Some of those are worth a look too. Qanon falls into this category in that it purports the promise of a utopian society once all of the pedophiles are locked up etc. So it's rooted in the promise of hope or a golden age of 'prosperity', which it can't of course offer in reality. Getting rid of some pedophiles isn't going to stop shootings armed robberies or murders. But it plays to that idea which can be very seductive for those looking for a light at the end of the tunnel. And in my view, not everybody agrees with executions or the death penalty to begin with (there are solid stats on this). So it's likely people indulging in a sick fantasy that's not necessarily shared by everyone. Shades of 'lock her up'. I'd personally get more out of seeing my football team win games than seeing George Soros go to prison. It beggars belief that believers in this never talk about what might happen after 'the storm'. Will it solve the welfare or healthcare crises in the country? If I ever come across Alex Jones I'll punch him in the dick for what he did to those poor Sandy Hook parents.'
