We know not to take what we’re told at face value. Just as the Bible has likely been tampered with, as have the recounts of a number of historical events, it seems that some have tried to attach a bit of babylonian perversion onto Ancient Greek history. No civilized society can develop and thrive when its citizens engage in this type of savagery against children. These smears are just an effort to besmirch Greek civilization, and by extension Western civilization, by a small number of people that were never able to accomplish anything.
