had this convo with spouseanon today….our 14 y/o daughter was "dating" a black guy. I personally have no problem and don't consider myself 'racist' AT ALL. But SA had a totally different opinion,. Thought it would fuck up her future for her; that no matter now cool the dude was, or how good he was to her, she would always face issues/problems; their kids would have issues, ect…..
While I understood the point, I had to remind this is not 1983 anymore; they agreed, but still think she would be better off with another white guy.
IDK. It's a touchy subject, but at least we are allowed to say 'black' again. Obama created the world where we had to say "African American"; we could no longer say "black" as it became such a bad word.
