translation from Chinese is often incorrect and very nuanced; and I remember when I studied this book before there was disagreement as to interpretation of the title

a man dreams something (predictive programming) and it comes true- the hero of the story has this gift,
Whatever he dreams, comes true.
It scared him, he went to a shrink, and the shrink betrayed him and hpnotized him to have certain dreams
Hero was afraid he would dream the destruction of the City.
At the end he did have the dream? or not?
