Zika came out of nowhere, I had never heard about it before the Zika epidemic (even though we were taught about Ebola and rare stuff like that).

The weird thing is that it went as quickly as it came. And ONLY Brazil was affected by the effects (microcephaly, small heads of infants). Next door Colombia had no noticeable microcephaly despite high levels of Zika.

What was the difference? It was postulated at the time that the insecticides that Brazil chose to use to counteract Zika for the games caused the effects.

The interesting thing is that Zika has vanished off the medical radar. Gone. Poof

Makes you wonder whether it was an experiment in mosquito warfare doesn't it?
