GM mosquito was supposed to stop the breeding patterns of other mosquitos in the following way:
All GMO mosquitos are males.
When they breed, there's no viable offspring.
This is caused by eliminating the production in the males of a specific chemical compound.
but . .
and this is the problen . . .
that same chemical compound is found in the wild.
How?
Certain pesticides contain that very same compound and the GMO mosquitos re-aquire the compound in the wild.
Reproduction now proceeds unhindered.
No mosquito control PLUS GMO mosquito now loose also.

He believes global population is out of control and should be reduced.
He has proposed using vaccines and other health measures to achieve that reduction.
It's not a far stretch of the imagination, knowing his way of thinking, that after outbreaks of Zika and other diseases, some BigPharma corp. would develope vaccines and those would be 'pushed' as necessary to contain the outbreaks.
