oday's WSJ has an editorial entitled "Portland's Half-Century of Ruinous Leadership" by Mark Hemingway, a senior investigator at RealClearInvestigations. (WSJ, 9/1/2020 p.A17)

I did not know that Portland has had two known pedophiles as mayor. According to the editorial, Neil Goldschmidt who was mayor from 1973 to 1979, raped his children's babysitter over a three year period beginning when she was 14. Another mayor, Sam Adams admitted to "having been romantically involved with an underage boy-though Mr. Adams asserted the relationship didn't turn sexual until after the boy turned 18."!!

What is up in Portland? Based on my own experiences in a liberal college town, I think there is a Democrat "machine" controlling the political scene in most all Democrat cities. I'm not sure elections in these districts are valid if the routine acts of fraud we are seeing today are any indication.

I am especially curious if Portland has other connections to human trafficking or other crimes as I find it very odd that they have had two mayors who might legitimately be called "pedophiles".

Anyway, I found what happened to be spiritually encouraging. Kyle did not start the fight and, as you say, he seems to have been supernaturally protected. The fact that he's so young reminded me of the heroes we had in WWII who at a similar age were willing to risk their lives on foreign shores. I did not know we had many such people anymore, but apparently we have one.

I take this as a positive sign that God is with us as we take back our country from the forces of evil.

I have a big problem with this. These games are targeted toward minors. Why should minors be exposed to political ads that only include one side? This seems more like "programming" than "campaigning".

I don't see why some Russians would give a "darn" about my voting. I am more concerned about the surveillance by leftists in the US government and by corporations.
