The police are seen in the video raiding the woman’s home and handcuffing her in front of her family. She has absolutely no idea why they are there. The police read her her rights then cuff her. Her partner tells the police she is pregnant and has an ultrasound in an hour.

It doesn’t matter. The police tell her that her Facebook post speaking out against the coronavirus lockdown and urging friends to attend the anti-lockdown rally is against the law.

Democrat Nevada Gov. Sisolak Caught on Video Having Dinner at Las Vegas Restaurant with Live Music – Claims He Did Nothing Wrong

Governor John Sisolak (D) was caught on video over the weekend having dinner in a Las Vegas restaurant while enjoying live music.

The video was taken on Saturday at Monzu, a popular Italian restaurant.

n fact, Sisolak believes it’s too dangerous for Nevadans to vote in person in November.

Sisolak and Nevada Democrats called a special session earlier this month with no public present and inside of 24 hours they rammed through mail-in voting and ballot harvesting.

Lounge bands are starving. Sisolak has destroyed the Las Vegas entertainment industry.

But he’s allowed to dine indoors with no mask and enjoy a live band.

“We’re gonna do whatever we can to save it, to be heard and that’s why I posted a video,” said Wally Eastwood, a Las Vegas entertainer.

“This video was sent to me by people with these exact concerns and I try to replicate what they were feeling and what they were describing to me that evening,” said Eastwood in a pre-recorded video which was released to 13 Investigates.

Kyle Rittenhouse Attorney Lin Wood to Sue Twitter After Account Suspended — Threatens to take CEO Jack Dorsey’s “A** Down”

In January 2020 Attorney Lin Wood issued a warning to Twitter founder Jack Dorsey on increasing censorship of conservative voices.

Lin Wood threatened to take legal action against Twitter and its founder Jack Dorsey.

Lin Wood also offered to meet with Twitter’s founder. Lin Wood wrote on Twitter, “Good morning, @jack. My followers on @Twitter increase & then decrease. Retweets disappear. Was it something I said? Or maybe you do not like The Beatles? Your agenda against conservatives & @realDonaldTrump? Maybe we should speak directly to discuss? I can arrange that meeting.”

The January tweet has since been deleted.

On Tuesday Twitter suspended Lin Wood’s account for several hours after he tweeted about raising funds for his client Kyle Rittenhouse.

In response Lin Wood threatened to sue Jack Dorsey and take his “a** down” for censoring conservatives.

The attorney says he was falsely accused by Twitter of ‘glorifying violence’.

Twitter admitted after several hours that his account was mistakenly disabled.

‘I was arrested today & confined in Twitter jail falsely accused of glorifying violence. I was exonerated this evening by a finding of ‘incorrectly actioned.’ I am free tonight,’ Wood tweeted after his account was restored…

…Wood now plans to file a lawsuit against Twitter and its CEO Jack Dorsey. He told Fox News that his account being blocked was just the latest example of Twitter trying to censor conservatives.

‘I’m going to take Jack Dorsey’s a** down,’ Wood said.

Amazon Deletes Job Postings For "Intelligence Analyst" Positions After They Go Viral On Social Media

Amazon has deleted two job postings that were put on its corporate website for "intelligence analyst" positions, detailing the roles as being responsible for monitoring “labor organizing threats” within the company, according to the British Journal.

The listings went viral on social media a couple of days after they were posted before Amazon removed them, as a result.

The company is now saying that the postings were not accurate representations of the roles. Amazon said in a statement: “The job post was not an accurate description of the role — it was made in error and has since been corrected.”

One positions was for "intelligence analyst" and the other was for "senior intelligence analyst" - both were based out of the company's Phoenix, Arizona office.

The role was listed as “vital to ensuring that Amazon operations leadership have access to actionable intelligence that informs decision making on a global scale.”

Duties included “engaging and informing [executive leadership] on sensitive topics … including labor organizing threats against the company,” according to the listing.

None of Amazon's workforce is currently unionized and the company has long been anti-union. Amazon also has a record of sending out "anti-union videos to Whole Foods locations" and has reportedly been monitoring Whole Foods stores nationwide to keep an eye on a unionization campaign.

Recall, we wrote back in April about Amazon firing several workers for allegedly criticizing their working conditions.

The company confirmed that it had fired Emily Cunningham, Bashir Mohamed and Maren Costa after several of the employees took to Twitter to voice concerns about how employees were being treated during the coronavirus pandemic.

Novichok-like chemical agent used to poison Russian opposition figure Navalny, German government claims

Hospital tests on Russian anti-corruption campaigner and Moscow protest leader Alexey Navalny show that he was "beyond doubt" poisoned with a ‘Novichok’ class chemical agent, according to the German government.

Berlin added that it will provide the new information to European Union partners and other international organizations. However, the Russian government says it has not been informed. The ‘Novichok’-like substance is from the same class as that allegedly used to poison Russian-born British intelligence agent Sergei Skripal, and his daughter, in Salisbury in 2018.

Though the spokesman for the German government did not blame the Russian state for Navalny’s poisoning, he called on Moscow to explain its position on the case. "The German government condemns this attack in the most resolute way," Steffen Seibert added.

"At the initiative of the Charité hospital [in Berlin] the Bundeswehr’s [German military] special laboratory has carried out toxicological analysis of Alexei Navalny’s test samples," Seibert explained. "The analysis provided indisputable proof of the presence of a Novichok class nerve agent." He added that Chancellor Angela Merkel on Wednesday held a conference with ministers and agreed a number of steps in the light of the latest data.

"The federal government will provide information on testing results to the EU and NATO through the Foreign Ministry’s channels," he continued. Seibert added that "an appropriate joint reaction will be discussed."

Fingers will no doubt now be pointed at Moscow. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said last week that “the Russian leadership clearly does not” benefit from Navalny’s illness, and slammed western governments for their “suspicious haste” in blaming Russia. Of these governments, Germany and the US have led the charge, with US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo calling for a criminal investigation into the alleged attack, and German Chancellor Angela Merkel making a similar demand, “in light of the prominent role played by Mr. Navalny in the political opposition in Russia.”

Bolsonaro Jr. wants jail time for hammer and sickle: Brazilian president’s son proposes to equate communist symbols with Nazi ones

Brazilian congressman and president’s son Eduardo Bolsonaro wants to introduce prison sentences for the production, sale or distribution of the hammer and sickle and five-pointed star imagery, classifying it as a hate symbol.

Bolsonaro Jr. introduced his bill on Tuesday, September 2, in commemoration “of the invasion of Poland by Nazis and later communists.” The congressman said that the idea behind the potential law is “to prevent genocides, which are the result of Nazism and communism, just as the penal code criminalizes the murder of an individual.”

And he wants the punishment to be comparable to one for a serious crime – from nine to fifteen years in prison. Bolsonaro’s legislative effort also includes a plan to rename any public places or institutions currently bearing the names of communism or Nazism-related persons, events or, even, ideas.

Bolsonaro Jr.’s project came on the heels of him causing a diplomatic conflict in March between Brazil and the People’s Republic of China. The lawmaker called the communist party’s rule a “dictatorship,” and blamed it for the Covid-19 pandemic.

Both the congressman and his father Jair Bolsonaro are outspoken anti-communists, along with the crux of their respective parties, the Social Liberals and the Alliance for Brazil. This fact has notably increased tensions between the country and some of its neighbors like Cuba and Venezuela.

Eduardo Bolsonaro even attached some anti-communist materials to his bill announcement on Twitter. One gruesome photo got some extra attention. Bolsonaro claimed they were the starved victims of the Holodomor, a famine which happened in Soviet Ukraine in the ‘30s and is widely believed to have been caused by the government.

Twitter users eagerly jumped at the chance to take the president’s son down a peg, and pointed out that the image was captured in British colonial India, during the Bengal Famine in the ‘40’s.

"It's A Game-Changer" - New WHO-Backed Research Finds Cheap Steroids Reduce COVID-19 Mortality By One-Third

For the last 2 months, we've been wondering: whatever happened to that British study purporting to show surprising efficacy of cheap steroid dexamethasone in treating COVID-19?

While we suspected that drug companies working on vaccines and fancy new treatments (see Gilead's questionably effective remdesivir) might secretly be working to undermine this type of research for fear it might interfere with "innovation" their bottom lines, on Wednesday, a group of doctors brought together by the WHO published a report analyzing several studies on the effectiveness of steroids in treating late-stage COVID-19.

The studies, which involved a total of 1,700 patients, apparently show that a number of cheap, plentiful corticosteroids (anti-inflammatory drugs that can damp the effects of an overactive immune system) helped lower COVID-19-related mortality by roughly one-third, compared with the 'control' group that didn't receive the medication.

The paper published by JAMA featured a meta-analysis performed by the group of scientists and doctors encompassing seven studies done between February and June. All the studies evaluated the use of the commonly used steroid drugs dexamethasone, hydrocortisone and methylprednisolone. The study found relatively consistent benefits for using the drugs in severely ill patients: Of 678 severely ill patients who received steroids, 32.7% died, compared with 41.5% of patients receiving either the usual care, or a placebo (depending on the study).

The doctors called the data an "unambiguous win" and said it might lead to these types of drugs becoming part of the "standard treatment" of COVID-19.

"This to me feels like one of the first unambiguous wins in trying to combat Covid-19,” said Derek C. Angus, a distinguished professor of critical-care medicine at the University of Pittsburgh and one of the leaders and authors of the meta-analysis. Angus spoke during an interview with WSJ.

Dr. Angus, one of the doctors who helmed the study, said that the results are particularly encouraging because of the consistency seen across different types of steroids used for treatments. This, the doctor said, should lead to widespread acceptance of steroids as treatment for COVID-19.

There is one important caveat: The steroids only show meaningful results in "only the sickest" of patients hospitalized with COVID-19. So far, no drugs have proven effective at combating early-stage outbreaks (except some studies on hydroxychloroquine, but we won't get into that). Still, that should mean it could be effective at reducing the mortality rate from the disease.

The steroids appear to work by dampening a hyperactive immune response that is thought to be a major cause of death. Though researchers claimed it’s still too early to know for certain how it works, this so-called "cytokine storm" has been a major topic of mystery and discussion among researchers and doctors. Researchers who published this latest study claimed this explanation is "too simplistic", since other aspects of the immune response are also at work, and partly responsible.

"It’s almost death by friendly fire…You end up causing more trouble with your own immune system than the virus itself," the study said.

White BLM ally kicks Trump supporter in the head in violence-plagued Kenosha

US President Donald Trump visited Kenosha, the scene of rioting and fatal shootings in recent days, on Tuesday. Footage shared online purports to show one of his supporters being viciously attacked by a gang of BLM activists.

The coming together of opposing sides went as expected, beginning with some verbal sparring as each group listed off their respective talking points, with the protesters labelling Trump as a white supremacist and his supporters calling him a savvy businessman who had come to save a town gutted by looting and rioting.

However, despite significant police presence in the area, a group of Black Lives Matter supporters attacked a man wearing a Trump hat, with eyewitness footage of the incident purporting to show one of the group kicking the man in the head while he was on the ground.

“I was attacked by numerous people at the same time,” the victim told local media, sporting a heavily swollen face.

“Kick to the head, one really good blow to the face. They surrounded me and attacked me and started chanting things, they were completely out of control.”

There have been no reports or official confirmation of any arrests made in connection with the violence at the courthouse. When the city's 7pm curfew hit, the crowds dispersed without incident.

Kenosha has been a flashpoint of racially aggravated violence in recent days, following the police shooting of Jacob Blake during an attempted arrest on August 23. The city has suffered extensive rioting and looting in retaliation for the perceived police brutality, with many businesses burned.

More recently, the city has been at the center of US national news coverage after 17-year-old Kyle Rittenhouse shot three people, killing two, in chaotic scenes. He has since been charged with first-degree murder, among other charges.

Tuesday’s violence in Kenosha comes just two days after a white man was assaulted with a brick in Baltimore, footage of which was shared online with the hashtag, #WhiteLivesDontMatter.

Fauci said, “I’m certain that other countries will be successful in developing vaccines, but I’m also fairly optimistic that we also will have at least one or more candidates that will be available for the American people.

Mitchell said, “The president said that a vaccine is possible before the election. Vice President Pence has said we are a nation of miracles. Is there a risk of promising too much or even of pushing an emergency use authorization for a vaccine before it has been fully proved safe and effective? I know authorizations have been used in the past for vaccines, but that’s the normal time frame of years of study for a vaccine and testing and randomized testing, and we’ve seen the push for emergency use before things are properly vetted.”

Fauci said, “Yeah, I mean, obviously that’s a concern of many people. Right now, if you look at the timetable of the vaccine candidates that we’re involved with, we have three now that are in phase 3 trials. At least a couple of them are more than half completely enrolled. So things are really right on target. As I mentioned many times, and there’s no reason for me to change this projection, I think we’ll know by the end of this year, November or December, that we do have a safe and effective vaccine. And I’m cautiously optimistic, although, you know, you can never guarantee when you’re dealing with vaccines. But I feel cautiously optimistic that we will have that.”

Mitchell interjected, “But that’s the end of the year. That’s not November 3.”

Fauci continued, “That’s the projection, Andrea. Is it conceivable that you may get an answer before then? Yes, it is conceivable that if you get enough infections in the trial that you will get an answer. But I’ve always said, and I’ll repeat it now, that I will not be satisfied regarding the release of a vaccine unless we know that it is safe and effective, both safe and effective. If we get a vaccine that’s safe and effective, I would feel fully comfortable that that’s a vaccine that could be released for the American people to use.”

Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler Is Moving Out Of His $800K Condo After Rioters Ransack His Home

Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler is moving out of his home after rioters descended on the Democrat’s $800,000 condo Monday, setting fires and breaking windows, according to a Tuesday report.

Wheeler sent an email Tuesday to other residents in his high-rise condo saying that finding a different home would be “best for me and for everyone else’s safety and peace,” according to The Oregonian. Portlanders have experienced daily riots since the death of George Floyd, who died in May after a police officer kneeled on his neck for several minutes, video of the incident shows.

“I want to express my sincere apologies for the damage to our home and the fear that you are experiencing due to my position,” Wheeler, a Democrat, wrote in the email, a screenshot obtained by The Oregonian shows. “It’s unfair to all of you who have no role in politics or in my administration.”

Wheeler bought the condo for $840,000 three years ago, The Oregonian noted, citing county property records.

On Monday, some rioters graffitied and damaged his building, and tossed a burning pile of newspapers into retail space in the building, The Oregonian noted. Police arrested 19 people.

Wheeler has faced increased criticism due to the daily violent riots, with President Donald Trump calling him a “joke” for rejecting the president’s request to provide federal help to quail the violence.

“Portland is a mess, and it has been for many years. If this joke of a mayor doesn’t clean it up, we will go in and do it for them!” the president said in an Aug. 31 tweet.

Scotland’s Sturgeon to roll out terms & phrasing for second independence referendum within months

First Minister of Scotland Nicola Sturgeon has promised to unveil details of a new independence referendum within the next few months. UK PM Boris Johnson, however, has repeatedly vowed not to allow such a vote to go ahead.

Speaking before the Scottish Parliament on Tuesday, Sturgeon revived the plans to hold a second independence referendum. A draft bill, detailing how and when the referendum should be held, will be unveiled before the next parliamentary elections scheduled for May.

“Before the end of this [Scottish] parliament, we will publish a draft bill for an independence referendum — setting out the terms of a future referendum clearly and unambiguously to the people of Scotland,” Sturgeon said.

The first independence referendum was held back in 2014, when the prospect of breaking free from the UK was rejected by some 55 percent of voters. Since then, however, the UK has endured the prolonged Brexit fiasco, as well as two changes of prime minister, and the results of a new vote might be different – especially since the majority of Scots supported the idea of remaining within the EU. Recent polls, for instance, indicated that if a new referendum happened this summer, more than 52 percent of voters would opt for independence.

The announced preparations for a new referendum appear to be largely symbolic for the time being. As Scotland has a devolved parliament, Westminster must greenlight such a referendum first, and Johnson has been perfectly clear in his repeated denials of the very possibility of it happening. Sturgeon, for her part, has repeatedly said she wants the poll to be completely legal and incontestable.

At least 24 Mexican soldiers are under investigation in the border city of Nuevo Laredo amid allegations they killed a cartel gunman after a shootout had ended. The probe, pushed by Mexico’s President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, reignited criticism that his administration continues to be soft on cartels.

A shootout took place on July 3 in Nuevo Laredo between the Cartel Del Noreste (CDN) faction of Los Zetas and military forces. In the initial clash, troops killed 12 gunmen with four more dying in a subsequent skirmish. As Breitbart Texas reported at the time, gunmen wore military-style uniforms and drove makeshift armored SUVs. According to Mexican Army Secretary Luis Cresencio Sandoval, the entire squad of 24 soldiers is under investigation.

BBC’s New Chief Says Broadcaster Must Represent All of UK, Not Just Liberal London

The BBC’s new director-general is set to “reform” the broadcaster “with urgency” and commission more right-wing comedy, after years of programming pandered to the left-liberal metropolitan elites in London.

Tim Davie, who took over from Lord Hall on Tuesday, set the tone of his tenure by telling BBC staff that they must reflect the diverse opinions of the whole of the United Kingdom. He made a point of his commitment to representing every part of the country by spending his first day on the job at BBC Scotland in Glasgow on Tuesday, before heading to the Welsh offices in Cardiff on Wednesday.

In a short memo sent to staff and seen by The Guardian, Mr Davie said: “Overall, my guiding principle is that we are a universal public service – a BBC for all, that serves and represents every part of this country.

“Our focus must be to ensure that we deliver outstanding and unique value to all audiences – those who pay for us and are in effect our customers – in return for their licence fee.

“To do this, we will need to keep reforming the BBC with urgency so that we are trusted, relevant, and indispensable in this digital age.”

A source told The Times on Wednesday that the new boss wants a “greater diversity of voices” in comedy, including right-wing comedians and seek a spectrum of targets for satire, rather than basing humour at the expense of conservatives, Brexit voters, and U.S. President Donald Trump.

On the day the UK officially left the EU, the BBC children’s network broadcast a skit of Nish Kumar that scorned British history and claimed that “British things” do not exist. One BBC insider claimed that they do not hire right-wingers because they are not funny, telling The Guardian there is a “shortage of right-wing comics”. Tory MP Ben Bradley had said that many conservative comedians had been “effectively blacklisted for their views” by the BBC.

Senior sources had also told The Telegraph on Monday that in the longer term, some left-wing comedies — those considered the worst offenders of extreme political bias — may be axed.

Mr Davie came into the role as the BBC is facing the recent controversy of the planned Last Night of the Proms, which was set to feature the patriotic “Rule, Britannia!” and “Land of Hope and Glory”, without the lyrics, reportedly over claims that the words were in some manner offensive. One senior editor had compared singing the lyrics of “Rule, Britannia!” to neo-Nazis singing about gas chambers. However, after public pressure, BBC Proms announced on Wednesday that a choir would be performing both pieces.

The Proms controversy was the last straw for a group of MPs, who wrote to the new director-general warning him that in its current state the broadcaster was failing in its pledge of impartiality, suggesting that the licence fee — the television tax which sustains the BBC — was at stake.

The BBC is already facing a crisis of declining viewership, particularly the younger generation, which is switching off and moving to streaming services such as Amazon Prime and Netflix.

The broadcaster’s news network — as well as the liberal-progressive NBC-owned Sky News — are also set to face competition from reportedly two new channels offering right-wing opinions.

Rupert Murdoch’s News UK is believed to be working on a news channel that may be aired through streaming services, while Ofcom has given GB News UK a licence to broadcast on Freeview, which will reportedly “be a truly impartial source of news, unlike the woke, wet BBC. ‘I Am Antifa’: Antifa Supporter Sarah Iannarone Could Be Portland’s Next Mayor

Portland’s next mayor could be an open supporter of Antifa, the violent, far-left movement whose members have unleashed violence in cities across America.

Left-wing activist Sarah Iannarone will face incumbent Democratic Mayor Ted Wheeler in a runoff election on Nov. 3 after neither candidate received a majority of votes in the first round of voting.

Wheeler beat Iannarone in the first round of voting, but has faced criticism from both sides of the political spectrum over his handling of the city’s nightly unrest, which has included nearly 30 riots since late May. A supporter of President Donald Trump was shot and killed Saturday night during a pro-Trump demonstration in Portland.

Trump has criticized Wheeler for not embracing federal assistance to quell the city’s riots, while left-wing activists have accused Wheeler of being too tough on demonstrators. Local progressive activists have called for Wheeler’s resignation, but the mayor has said he has no plans to step down.

Iannarone, whose platform includes a “Housing for All” plank and a pledge to slash the city’s police funding, identified herself as a member of the Antifa movement in a January 2019 tweet.

“To those who say Antifa are violent thugs: I am not a violent thug and I am Antifa,” she wrote.

“I am Antifa because the Red Hats are coming after brown & black people, after Jews, after queer & trans people, and more. They are coming after our democracy,” she added.

Iannarone’s campaign manager, Gregory McKelvey, led protesters in shutting down a Portland highway following Trump’s 2016 victory, the Willamette Week reported.

Iannarone has consistently expressed support for the nightly unrest currently taking place in Portland.

“My daughter was in the streets last night driven by anti-racist conviction. She is not an agitator nor an opportunist and she should not fear for her safety at the hands of Portland police,” Iannarone wrote in a May 31 tweet.

“Protests will continue in our city and across the country until our leaders address the problems racism, police brutality, and white supremacy undergirding our society,” she added in a statement accompanying the tweet.

“We need to understand these protests are part of a healthy democracy. Peaceful protests, in my opinion, might not necessarily be moving the conversation forward,” she told KGW8 in an Aug. 7 interview. Her campaign later issued a follow-up statement saying she does “not condone” criminal activity.

Neither campaign returned the Daily Caller News Foundation’s requests for comment for this story.
