I'm feeling a bit dense tonight over Q's latest posts, just got off a 12 hour shift.
How does blackmail tie in with the lists of those arrested?
Did the DS tell them - we know what you been up to, play along with us or we'll drop a dime on you, and they refused to play along, and the DS called up the police and got them busted?

And the Gerry Studds case was waaaay back in 1983. 37 years ago. So Q isn't pointing out current events necessarily.
That makes sense, given the Gerry Studds mention. Studds actually had sex with a 17 year old page 10 years before the Congress Ethics committee found out about it, and the page involved wasn't the one who lodged a complaint - in fact he was reluctant to testify against Studds.
So apparently someone who knew about Studds and the page dropped a dime on him, and given that this occured in 1983, Q is pointing out that the pattern of blackmail goes back decades, almost 50 years in Studd's case, not just a recent phenomenon.
Even better, he's got the Marines!
Wouldn't it be funny if the cops detailed to protect Mayor Wheeler all called in sick just before the night shift started?
