Sen. Kelly Loeffler on BLM: Marxist Organization Against Idea of Moms and Dads

Black Lives Matter is a Marxist organization that opposes the natural family structure of mothers and fathers, noted Sen. Kelly Loeffler (R-GA), offering her comments in an interview on Wednesday’s edition of SiriusXM’s Breitbart News Daily with host Alex Marlow.

Loeffler identified the ideological Marxist foundation of the Black Lives Matter organization and campaign.

“This organization stands against the idea of moms and dads,” said Loeffler, describing healthy families as “the thing that can lift communities up that are that are challenged.”

Black Lives Matter’s namesake is disingenuous, added Loeffler. “It’s not about black lives matter, ” she said. “It’s about hijacking a moment and applying their Marxist ideals to fundamentally change our country, not just to tear down our history, but literally to burn it down.”

Black Lives Matter founders declare opposition to the nuclear family on the “What We Believe” page of its website. It omits fathers in its prescription for social reorganization. “We disrupt the Western-prescribed nuclear family structure requirement by supporting each other as extended families and ‘villages’ that collectively care for one another, especially our children, to the degree that mothers, parents, and children are comfortable.”

Black Lives Matter’s website states: “We are self-reflexive and do the work required to dismantle cis-gender privilege and uplift Black trans folk, especially Black trans women who continue to be disproportionately impacted by trans-antagonistic violence.”

Heterosexuality must not be a norm, according to Black Lives Matter. “We foster a queer‐affirming network,” states the organization. “When we gather, we do so with the intention of freeing ourselves from the tight grip of hetero-normative thinking, or rather, the belief that all in the world are heterosexual (unless s/he or they disclose otherwise).”

Loeffler described left-wing “cancel culture” and resulting political self-censorship among conservatives is an existential threat to America. As co-owner of WNBA team Atlanta Dream, she recalled her opposition to the WNBA’s plans to support the Black Lives Matter campaign by placing the the left-wing movement’s slogans on athletes’ clothing. She recommended placement of an American flag on players’ uniforms.

Arabic media: Israeli airstrikes on strategic T-4 airbase in Syria

Syrian air defense were said to be active against the airstrikes that targeted the base, used by Iran

Arabic media reported on Wednesday night that Syrian air defense confronted an attack on the strategic T-4 airbase in the Homs province of Syria. The base is located in the desert, near the ancient city of Palmyra, and is an important station for the planes and weapons systems of the Syrian regime and Iran. Iran has allegedly moved drones and air defense systems here in the past.

Syrian state media and Arabic media have accused Israel of numerous strikes on the location and Syrian social media say this is the second airstrike in two days on the country. The other one, on September 1, was near Damascus. Russia’s Sputnik news said that sources described air defenses being activated over T-4, trying to stop airstrikes. Social media accounts claimed the strikes came from the south and asserted the fight path came over an area used by the US called Tanaf base.

Monday’s airstrikes allegedly killed five members of pro-Iranian militias, including three non-Syrians. Rumors even indicated a high level Iranian officer was killed. Social media said it may have been IRGC Quds Force head Ismael Ghaani, who replaced Qasem Soleimani in January. Ghaani has been to Syria at least once. Iranian sources indicate he was not harmed and that anti-Syrian regime activists spread these rumors.

On Wednesday night, regime sources told the press that only material losses took place at T-4. It was unclear how they knew this within a few minutes of the airstrikes and with no time at night to survey the damage. The T-4 base, also called Tiyas, is part of the key Iranian network in Syria that links Iran’s Albukamal Imam Ali base on the Iraqi border with sites at T-2 and T-3 on the road to Homs and Damascus. T-4 is the major strategic base in this part of the country. Iran has used it often.

In July, a Hezbollah member was killed in airstrikes in Syria. In January of 2019, former Israeli Chief of Staff Gadi Eizenkot was quoted in the New York Times as saying Israel had struck more than 1,000 Iranian targets.

Barr chuckles after Wolf Blitzer insists CNN is 'fair and balanced' during interview

AG, veteran broadcaster spar over media bias, mail-in voting

Attorney General William Barr did not appear to buy Wolf Blitzer's claim Wendesday that CNN is "fair and balanced."

At the end of a lengthy, contentious interview, the "Situation Room" host asked if Barr would return for President Trump's second term if the incumbent wins reelection, a question Barr thought was "presumptuous" for him to answer.

"Are you enjoying what you're doing?" Blitzer followed up.

"I wouldn't use the word 'enjoy,' but it's satisfying," Barr responded with a grin

Blitzer then asked Barr if he "enjoyed it more the first time around" as attorney general under George H.W. Bush.

"Well, the political climate and the media was a lot different," Barr said.

"And you had a different president, George H.W. Bush," Blitzer jumped in.

"Yeah, but the media should be fair and balanced no matter who the president is," Barr retorted. "[It] doesn't give the media license to lie the way a lot of the media is."

"I can speak for us, we are fair and balanced," Blitzer said in defense of his network.

"OK," the attorney general reacted with a chuckle.

NATO Begins Provocative Military Exercises on Russian Border

Once again, NATO is operating dangerous and bold military maneuvers in regions close to the European Russian border. This time, the country hosting the tests is Estonia, a Baltic State that in recent decades has been characterized by a strong pro-Western and anti-Russian stance. The small European country is occupied by a large contingent of American troops and will be in such a situation until at least September 10, when the operations end.

The tests started on September 1 are already causing a small diplomatic crisis between Russia and the United States. The Russian Embassy in Washington commented on the exercises with great antipathy:

“The Russian Federation has repeatedly offered to the United States and its allies to limit training activities and to divert exercise areas from the line of contact between Russia and NATO. We consider the actions of the US Armed Forces in Estonia provocative and extremely dangerous for regional stability (…) What signal from NATO members want to send us? Who is actually fueling tensions in Europe? And all this is taking place in the context of an aggravated political situation in that region of the European continent. Rhetorical question: how would the Americans react if such shooting were carried out by our military near the US borders?”.

In addition to the diplomatic crisis, military tension broke out in the region last Tuesday. NATO planes that would be used in the exercises were intercepted unexpectedly by Russian fighters while flying over the border area. In addition, Aleksandr Lukashenko, president of Belarus, put his troops on high alert and started his own military exercises, understanding NATO’s maneuvers as a provocative and threatening measure, not only against Russia, but also Belarus.

The exercises also begin during a series of events that have raised tensions in the region. On Friday, an American B-52 bomber and a Russian Su-27 aircraft conducted dangerous maneuvers in European airspace, chasing each other. On the same day, similar tensions were reported in the Ukrainian Black Sea. Countries with less military potential are becoming concerned and feel threatened by hostilities, such as Sweden, which has issued a danger warning to its troops.

This is not the first time that the Baltic countries have become the scene of NATO military actions especially aimed at provoking Russia. For years, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia have increased their participation in NATO programs, together with Poland, countries that since the end of communism have been adhering to positions against Russia on the international stage. This exercise currently being carried out in Estonia is in its eighth edition, having already become an annual NATO program. In 2020, Germany, Canada, Croatia, Denmark, Spain, United States, Estonia, Finland, France, Netherlands, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Norway, Poland, United Kingdom, Czech Republic and Romania are participating in the operations.
