Maybe so, but I once had an encounter with the Highway Patrol on the side of a dark freeway when I was moving. Had 2 long guns in the car with lots of other stuff. Behaved like a proper person and told the officers that I had weapons in the car and I hated to have guns pointed at me. After a quick pat down and a check of just one of the long guns I was sent on my merry way with both weapons.
They thanked me for telling them weapons were in the car and not doing anything stupid so they didn't have to draw their weapons.
