anon is a fabricator and does all his own auto maintenence
runs a small race team in a 'for fun' small cc road bike racing series
dont get me started on modern cars
being complicated with a lot of steps is one thing
as long as the manual does a good job of explaining, whatever, its just more steps
BUT
things like;
-you have to remove the intake manifold in order to remove a spark plug
-the engine has to come out of the car to service the turbo system, and the engine ONLY comes out through the bottom, you MUST have a service station lift to lift the body off the undercarriage
-every fucking fastener you touch is TTY (torque to yield) and MUST be replace with a new fastener if it is ever removed after its first installation (you know, like to service a part you remove the fasteners that attach it? -yeah, every single one has to be replaced with a new one, every time, regardless of how pristine the fastener looks. its already been stretched once, so its done)
really make an anon want to track down the engineer responsible and 'release some frustration'
