The International Energy Group Burisma started drilling another directional well (No. 3) with the target depth of 6200 m at the Vodyanivske field in Kharkiv region. The Group will be using a SK 3000 rig from Service King Manufacturing.

“From the middle of February 2019, we have gone as deep as 3,000 meters. Over the next five months, we are hoping to obtain positive results. It won’t be our deepest well this year, however. In March, we started drilling in the Kubashivska area. Its projected depth is 6,250 m. All wells will be drilled through a cement-free method using sludge dewatering technology and a special dryer. This method corresonds to best international environmental standards, ” says Burisma Group CEO Taras Burdeyniy.

At the same time, preliminary work and site development are underway. Once finished, the Group will start drilling 4 more wells in the Kubashivska area, Rakytnyanske and Proletarske field as well as the Zhuravlyna structure of the Derkachivsk-Voitenivska area (Kharkiv and Dnipro regions).

“The well at the Niklovitske field has already provided results, but is still under development. We are also finalizing the construction of loops. The Group’s investment plan for 2019 stipulates drilling of 21 new wells. So far we are staying on schedule, ” says Taras Burdeyniy.

The Brazilian pre-salt oil region, first explored in 2006 by Petrobras, is an oil-rich offshore reserve trapped below a 2,000m-thick layer of salt, which itself is located below 2,000m-thick post-salt sediments. In this special timeline feature, Offshore Technology looks at how Brazil’s pre-salt region has been developed and why it has recently attracted more investment from major oil firms.

It was announced on Monday that many of the major oil giants – including Shell, ExxonMobil, and BP – had come out on top in the fifth round auction for acreage in the Santos and Campos basins offshore Brazil. Pre-salt oil reserves in the basins contain 16.4 billion barrels of crude, according to Petrobras, and total production from the region is estimated at almost five billion barrels in 2025 alone.

How was the Brazilian pre-salt region first discovered, and what is the potential for the oil-rich reserve?

2006: Petrobras discovers first pre-salt oil

Brazilian petroleum giant Petrobras first discovered pre-salt oil reserves in the Lula oil field in the Santos Basin in 2006, and drew its first oil from the Jubarte field in the Campos Basin two years later, in 2008. Since then, the pre-salt layer has proven to conceal larger oil reserves, in a series of consecutive discoveries.

At the time, US equity firm Riedel Research founder and president David Riedel described the pre-salt region as “one of the most impressive oil finds globally in terms of scale”.

Petrobras soon found, however, that drilling the pre-salt oil region was exponentially more difficult than exploring post-salt oil reserves. As a result, companies were slow to prioritise exploration efforts.

Brazilian Association of Petroleum Geologists president Marcio Rocha Mello told Offshore Magazine in a 2008 interview: “The [pre-salt] results were satisfactory; with oil fields such as the Badejo, Linguado, and Trilha, allowing the basin to become even more productive. Later, with the discoveries of the super-giant post-salt Tertiary and Upper Cretaceous turbidite systems at shallower burial depths, the pre-salt petroleum system was put aside as low priority.”

However, as the post-salt oil reserves dwindled, the Brazilian oil giant kick-started pre-salt operations.

Everybody seems to believe in Hubbert's Peak Oil Theory. Why do you believe in this theory? Within this article I present fairly convincing evidence that Peak Oil is a theory based on a false premise - that oil is a finite resource.

My own layman's view as we all surely believe has always been that oil and gas are both derived through the natural and lengthy decomposition of organic detritus. Therefore I've always believed that oil is a finite resource and that it will eventually run out. But recently - and after much hard searching out of the facts, my view has changed. If the Russian view that oil and gas are continuously formed or replaced from a purely physical/chemical thermodynamic process that continuously regenerates oil from ultra-deep locations(>9,000 metres), then the inference here is that oil may, perhaps, not be a finite resource – and that there is plenty of it.

Oil and Gas Origins - Biogenic or Abiotic ?

Do oil and gas originate from the biological decomposition of organic material (biotic, biogenic) or do they originate simply through a natural physical and chemical thermodynamic process involving just heat and pressure(abiotic, abiogenic)?

It is notable that the whole of Hubbert's Theory of Peak Oil rests completely on the assumption that oil is biogenic in origin. Therefore oil is a finite resource. Simply everyone believes this, because everyone believes that this is a proven fact. I have also read that this Biogenic Theory directly contradicts and offends the Second Law of Thermodynamics. I became suspicious, so I searched all over the internet for substantiative proof – and particularly the research articles in Google Scholar.

Conclusions

In the end, I have to agree that the Russian Abiotic Theory of Oil Formation - backed up by all its evidence, is far more likely to be the true explanation. And there appears to be little or no conclusive evidence to prove the Western Biotic Theory of Oil. But that leaves much unanswered doesn't it? For what reasons then - in light of these facts and conclusions - is the Peak Oil Theory being so heavily touted - a theory that is wholly dependent on the Western Biotic Theory of Oil Formation which - as I see it - is a completely unproven theory? Are Western geologists and scientists really that stupid or unfair or is there an underlying, hidden agenda and media steerage here - by the Big Oil Majors or OPEC - to perhaps discreetly encourage higher oil prices through promotion of a false "scarcity" of this resource by conveniently supporting the Western Biotic Theory of Oil Formation(now disproven and defunct) to so heavily promote Hubbert's Peak Oil Theory?

What is not typically disclosed by recruiters is that some call it a cult – and that it might be a brainwashing machine or a pyramid scheme. This Googling of “Keith Raniere”, it is suspected, has slowed down recruitment, if not entirely stopped it.

Some years ago, a rich and beautiful lady named Adrianna Castelazo (then Adrianna Nienow) entered the ESP network and introduced ESP/NXIVM to a big tanning company of León.
