my thought on it is that maybe 'they' finally understand that the rules this time are that if they win no one is going to respect them as the winners.
and that terrifies them because they might be able to fake the mail in votes, but they can't fake that they have support, when they have little to no support anymore.
So 'win or lose' they have lost.
