His death could be intended to kill the videos that piece together the events and the tactics used to kill Jay. Most especially the tactics. Remember, there are at least 4 more co-assassins we need to keep looking for. If humanly possible, it's important that NONE of them get away. We need to find the whole team and bring ALL of them to justice. It is a big mistake to let them toss Reinhold out as a martyr ... need to make all of them realize that there IS no safe harbor -- by ones and twos, track them down and either haul them in or lay them out.

There was NOTHING spontaneous about Jay's death except, possibly, that the target selection was left to chance. But SOMEBODY was going to die as a "message" to the patriots who came prepared to defend themselves and reclaim territory. This was about territory and dominance.
