Think he got freaked out when spotting a 1 square metre drone patrolling local park and major arterial road early evening yesterday or day before. I mentioned the planes overhead the last coupla nights which he acknowledged were strange too. He came home after park and went online and found out they were trialling drones to track civil disobedience. He also mentioned inside knowledge of unmanned aircraft for surveillance purposes on the drawing board some years back.
